  • Got an FT7 and LOVE IT. Makes me wonder why the heck I waited to so long to buy one. I got the FT7 and always wondered what the difference was between that model and the FT4. First off, forgive me for butchering this explanation b/c I have zero knowledge about VOX2 or whatever it is and all that jazz, but from my general…
  • Hi Amber, I really like Jillian Michaels. Ripped in 30 is one of my favs, more "modern" (runs about 20 mins) -- however her Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism is really good too, its about 45 mins. Check em out! Best of Luck, Joanna
  • Jillian Michaels has a video called Ripped in 30, very similar to 30DS. I did 30DS and liked it, but once I did Rin30 I liked it even more. Same layout, 3 min of strength, 2 mins of cardio, 1 min abs, 20 min video total with 4 different levels. The videos are also on YouTube. Check em out.
  • Jillian Michaels has a Killer Buns & Thighs video!
  • If you want something that tracks exercise I def recommend a heart rate monitor. I was on the fence about purchasing one vs. an all day activity tracker, but decided on getting the Polar FT7 and am very satisfied. It's nice to know how many calories I burn when I exercise and it's more accurate in my opinion w/ the chest…
  • I used canned veggies / corn until I got some 3lb weights!
  • 30DS was my first JM workout dvd that I did. I enjoyed it so much that I upgraded to a few others. I personally like her Ripped in 30 DVD better (4 workouts) mainly because on her strength training part, you 3 moves for 30 secs each and then repeat, vs 2 moves in 30DS (one for 30 secs, one for 1 min and then repeat). I…
  • That's great. I can plank for 30 seconds (b/c that is how long Jillian Michaels tells me to hold it on her workout DVD) but I never tried to hold it longer. I may give it a go. Don't they have like plank challenges and what not? Either way, great job! Best of luck, Joanna
  • I can't eat a big meal before a morning workout. I just eat something small and not to heavy, like grab a go-gurt :) LOL. Otherwise if I eat to heavy my stomach will get upset. Best of luck, Joanna
  • Team Jillian :) Currently doing her Ripped in 30 workout DVD. When I am not doing a workout DVD, then definitely outdoor hiking / running / jogging. Best of luck, Joanna
  • Ahh never heard of that. I did her 30 Day Shred and just started her Rin30. Keep us posted on this one week shred!
  • I just started Rin30 yesterday and loved it! I completed 30DS last month and really enjoyed it, but I think I am going to like Rin30 better :) Feel free to add me!
  • Hi! I just started JM Rin30 and am looking for friends that have also started as well for support. I completed 30DS last month and loved it. Feel free to add me :)
  • On a conference call, so people's voices.
  • Invest in a food scale. I was on a 4 month plateau but when I started really weighing my food I started losing again. Best of Luck, Joanna
  • I enjoy doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, 3 levels, 20 min workouts. Great burn! Best of Luck, Joanna
  • If I am hungry, I eat them back. MFP tends to overestimate on the calories, so even if I do eat them back, I try to leave about 100 - 200 calories. Doesn't always happen depending on what I eat, but I do try. Best of luck, Joanna
  • I started doing some workout DVDs at home, Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred -- 20 min workout, combines strength, cardio and abs. Give it a try. Best of Luck, Joanna
  • I generally eat back my calories back, just not all of them. I do not have a HRM and I know MFP tends to over estimate calorie amounts, so I try to leave 100 cals - 200 cals but eat back the rest. If your on a plateau, I suggest investing in a food scale. I was on a plateau for 5 months, couldn't figure out why. I was…
  • Investing in a food scale and seeing how much a correct portion really is :( LOL
  • LOL...YESSSSSSSS. Ditto!

  • I eat my calories back, but not all of them. Usually try to leave about 100 - 200 extra, MFP tends to be generous in their calorie counts and I don't have a HRM so I like to leave some on. What I would suggest doing is getting a food scale, ($10 - $20 at Walmart). I had been on a platuea for about 5 months, was exercising…
  • I tend to get that after I stop running. To prevent this I don't eat anything too heavy the night before, be sure to "empty the tank" first thing in the morning and drink water. I usually have something very light, like a go-gurt. Hang in there :) Joanna
  • I only run on treadmills when it's too cold to run outdoors. But now that it's warm out (Georgia) I run outdoors. I like to do interval running. I use an app called RunKeeper. You can set up your own intervals and plug in your headphones, listen to music, and then the app will speak over your music telling you to switch to…
  • Thanks for the responses everyone :) I must admit, I feel like such a badass when I am hands free on a row of Arc Trainers and everyone else is hanging on for dear life, haha!
  • Never train on an empty stomach? I have too. I mean I may have a glass of milk or a little of yogurt, but I can't eat like an actual meal or my stomach will get upset, especially if I am doing cardio. Best of luck :) Joanna
  • Plateau for 3 weeks. I haven't gained so I am happy about that, but I am ready to be a loser again. Hang in there :)
  • You need to add it under cardiovascular, not under strength. I was having the same issue. I think strength is just there to keep track of like how many reps you did and the amount of weight but it doesn't effect your calories burned for exercise. But if you put it under cardio and just search "Strength / weight training"…
