  • I know how you feel, I've been there as well. Just keep going and don't give up and you will get there. I'm so large I'm looking forward to being able to shop in the Target and Wal-mart plus size section. Right now I'm a size 30 and would love to be a size 24. Just know that you are not alone! :flowerforyou:
  • That is awesome! And dedication!!
  • Both of my parents eat paleo because they went to a diabetes meeting and learned how it could help them. Since November my Dad has lost over 100 pounds and cut his insulin in half. He goes for walks now all the time and has energy. My Mom has lost almost 60 pounds and no longer needs to take insulin for her diabetes. After…
  • You have to just make yourself workout until it becomes a habit again. Do you have anyone to work out with? Having someone to help with accountability is always useful. Perhaps you could join a challenge on a MFP that will help motivate you. Good luck!
  • My goal is also to lose 130 pounds. Eating the right proportions and planning my meals is the hardest step for me. Being healthy really is a huge life style change for me.
  • Good job, anything in the 300's is fantastic in my opinion :drinker:
  • Awesome! Keep up the good work!
  • Awesome job, keep up the good work!
  • Great job! Thank you for your helpful tips and wisdom.
  • Are you saying that pictures add 10 pounds? I think that is just life.
  • That is so awesome!!! Keep up the good work, and continue doing amazing workouts.
  • I never win, I spell things like 'cat', 'dog' ,sometimes I get a four letter word in. But my dad and sister both get bingo's all the time and usually score in the 300's per game.
  • That is awesome! I actually check my towel a lot. I noticed as I gained weight how the gap got bigger so I've been watching as the gap gets smaller. Funny how something so simple can make you so happy
  • Yay! I tried to start this exact thread in the other 300 pound group and only one person responded. I just started the C5K yesterday and it will probably take me a very long time to actually jog a whole 5K. I'm walking my first 5k September 21st, but I would like to jog some of it.
  • I have my activity level set at sedentary since I'm a stay at home mom, but I move quite a bit actually. I don't count cleaning or taking my son to the park because my body is use to it. I'm sure your cleaning is much more of a calorie burner, but if your body is use to it, then maybe your body needs different activity.
  • You make some very good points. Thank you for sharing your story and wisdom. I'm sorry you have health issues and I wish you the best of luck!
  • The vitamin helps, but what are you going to do when you reach your goal? Do you plan on eating lean cuisine for the rest of your life? I can't imagine eating that few of calories and working off so many calories. I looked at your diary and it doesn't seem like you are getting enough protein. You said you feel fine, but do…
  • In my opinion (actually my husbands opinion), your tea has more water in it than soda or coffee but not as much water as actual water. Maybe count a cup of tea as only a 3/4 serving. I would think it would count towards water since it is unsweetened.
  • I just joined MFP this last week. My start weight was 333, I am now at 329. It sounds like there are a lot of really motivated people out there
  • I live in Oregon
  • Ha, I had a cat like that that wanted attention in the bathroom. My dog, Lilly, is a bed hog. She is half pit and half rottie. She sleeps in between my husband and I at the foot of the bed. I usually wake up in the middle of the night almost pushed out of bed by her. She takes forever to get up and move and she grunts and…
  • I hate when people brag about how much food stamp money they get and how they buy steak and lobster and then use their smart phone to post on facebook about going out to the bar to drink all night. ( I usually tell them off for this) I also can't stand it when I'm in a store and an employee uses the overhead speaker and…
  • Hi, I have two questions for you. I weigh 327 and for exercise I go for walks 3 times a week and do crossfit (modified by a trainer) 3 times a week. MFP doesn't count strength training for calories burned, so I write my crossfit as circuit training. Is this cheating on my exercise diary? Every time I do crossfit I am…
  • I'm interested if you get enough people. LillyWillow SW: 333 GW: 320 (I'm assuming you want a goal weight for 8 weeks)
  • It's hard to lose weight when you have a lot of stress in your life. Sometimes it helps to talk with a friend or family member who knows you and what's going on in your life. Just do your best and if you screw up one day eating, tomorrow is a new day  Keep trying and don't give up!
  • I'm 326 and about to try it. I go to a crossfit gym already, but need more exercise. I talked to some people in the 300+ group and a few of them have done it. I watched the video on youtube and JM says people over 400 pounds can do it. Just do your best and eventually you will be really good at it.
  • I can say that I have been addicted to food. I would be full and just keep eating, sometimes I still do. To break the habit, I had to ask myself why I was still eating. If it was because I was bored, I would go do something like ride a bike or go for a walk - even if it was midnight. I had to keep junk food out of the…
  • I could always use some more supportive friends
  • My husband and I also met online. I made it very clear on my profile that I was not looking for a one night stand. I would email a few times with guys, then start talking with them on the phone. If I didn't get a creep vibe, I'd agree to meet them. My husband was the only one I met and we are soul mates
  • Most gyms have someone you can ask for help if you are new. They don't want their new customers to get hurt. Usually you can schedule one hour with someone to show you how the machines and free weights work. You can check out youtube for instructions on how to use free weights. I personally need to see it because reading…
