  • I'm in to my 3rd week of only having 1 sugar 'treat' day a week. I find it much easier to stick to my goal without chocolate bars, and I don't crave sugar now. I'm going to try going 10-14 days now. I don't want to feel like I NEED sugar and chocolate/junk food. I've given up junk food as in chips/pizza/greasy food also…
  • I have done IF a couple of times as 5:2. This was mainly because I kept over-eating, even when I wasn't hungry. I found it helped a lot for making me realise when I was hungry. I would do it again - it's a tool for me to use when I start to get greedy and eat for the sake of it cos I'm bored etc!
  • It helped my recover, so it works both ways.
  • Oh, and this. Quite a few of my friends have children now and like to post a LOT of status' and pictures of them on Facebook. Helloooo, I'm friends with you, not your kid. I have to do that awkward "awwww" to get them to leave me alone.
  • This though. I always get told this. I'm 24 and actually kinda dislike kids. And humans, but y'know. I have a 12 year old dog who I call my son.
  • You can't choose where the weight comes off, unfortunately. I lost weight from all over, but the only reason now my legs are more toned and wobble less, is from weights. Also, like someone else suggested - more protein. I don't know what you eat in the evening, but everything else is largely carbs that you're consuming.…
  • Try and average it out over the week? I get this too. The next day just eat more? If you're hungry, eat. If you're in a deficit overall for the weeks and months, then you will lose.
  • I can't see pictures at work so will try at home - bump for later!
  • Weighted squats and lunges have definitely helped me. I've always had a small flat *kitten*, but recently it's becoming rounded which I am liking! I also do glute bridge and other things mentioned, but mainly squats and lunges. I started with like 4kg free weights, now I do it with 10kg barbells and am gradually increasing…
  • LOL I would never do this. I do however log dancing on the exercise tab but input less than I think I did.
  • Calorie deficit = lose weight. As a vegetarian for 20 years, I have been underweight, a good weight, overweight. Calories in vs. calories out. The end.
  • I have Gastroparesis too and am on medication for it, however this sounds more like a mental thing to me, and therefore potentially some kind of eating disorder. I've had those, too. You say 'restrictions' - I would see someone. If you are put off by the THOUGHT of eating food, I'd get it looked at before it becomes…
  • This would be divorce for me. This is basically bullying and abusive behaviour.
  • So glad you shopped him!!!
  • Same. In the UK they are banned. You can own one, but they have to be registered, muzzled when outdoors and I think castrated too. If you don't follow this, they can be PTS. Funny thing is, I have never heard any bad stories about them. I watched a programme about them, their owners, the law etc... The Police would turn up…
  • Depends on your gender, height, weight, how active you are... I'm female, 5'4", have a desk job and if I sit on my bum all day every day without working out, my maintenance is around 1650. I exercise so I can maintain on higher.
  • I literally just watched what other people were doing on the machines. I got shown some of them on my gym induction. I built up my strength on those machines for about a year until just moving gyms now. My new gym is about 5 x the size, and has a main weights room with machines and stuff, then two other rooms with free…
  • 3 x a week is definitely enough for me. I aim for 1 x upper body & abs day, 1 x lower body day, and 1 x full body day, combined with some classes to add cardio as I pretty much hate it after 5 minutes :)
  • I'm vegetarian and have gone from like 30g protein a day to up to over 100g some days. I average about 70-80g without tooooo much effort! I've been focusing on it more recently although I'm not sure if you can eat the kind of things I do. Whey protein with fruit to make a smoothie or milk for a milkshake for breakfasts or…
  • Tonight my app said I was like 362 calories over my weekly net goal, yet I calculated it from the reports bit on my laptop and I worked it out as being about 378. :noway:
  • 24 - female - Coventry, West Midlands. Would like some more UK friends who lift, and aren't on a 1200 diet.
  • This is no doubt because you opted to lose 2lb a week. Try 0.5lb or 1lb and then you can eat more, lose it slower and healthier, and it's more likely to stay off. I've just changed mine to 0.5lb a week which gives 1480, but that's because I'm down as sedentary and haven't had a gym membership for 3 weeks. I am joining a…
  • You look hot! So much younger as well! Great job!
  • Feels like I'm 13 again... A/S/L? 24 and 5 days - female - West Midlands. Please only add if you eat above BMR.
  • It depends whether I have work or not and what shift I'm on as to what time I eat breakfast. I'm usually hungry about 2 hours after waking up. If I'm at work on an early shift, I'm at my desk 2 hours after waking up and I'm not allowed to eat at my desk, so I will usually force myself to have some kinda breakfast. Today I…
  • Change your activity levels and some days eat less?
  • Hahaha. Loved it when people say they have a slow metabolism because they're overweight. Oh, really? Not because you eat too much and don't move enough?
  • Niiiice work
