THIS. Women get stupid things from magazines. "I'm going to stop eating yogurts because they're fattening" - not many yogurts are high calorie...

<--- Jack Russell cross Chihuahua  Rescued at 11 months, now he's 12 years. The light of my life and I've never loved anyone more. I'm obsessed with him (and dogs in general) :smooched:

I take a multivitamin every day. Since watching a programme that said that since early 1900's our foods have something like half the vitamins, and that if you buy pre-cut veggies, then they've already lost some of the vits, it's just reaffirmed my decision. Been taking them for years. I'm veggie and used to be anaemic.

This. My initial reaction to this thread was 'LOL!'

Meat-free products like mince, meatballs, sausages, bacon, burgers... the list is endless. Eggs Cheese Beans Protein shakes and bars

Well done! I love how you have a big grin in every picture!

I have to make a conscious effort to eat enough protein as previously I basically lived on carbs. 2 Linda McCartney sausages are 23g protein. If you have that in a sandwich it's more as even white bread has protein in. 30g cheese has around 8g protein. My freezer is fullll of Quorn. They do sausages, burgers, bacon, ham,…

If obviously you are burning and eating that much... :)

Also, you workout a LOT. I'd probably do heavy strength training (3x5, 5x5), and do some HIIT. I do about an hour 2-3 times a week, plus walk my dog before or after work, and I'm losing weight and fat. I had a history of eating disorders and so for a long time I would gain on 1000 calories. Now my goal is 1500 and I…

She wears a HRM as previously stated...

Haven't read all 7 pages of this, so sorry if I'm repeating what others have said... 1) Weigh all of your food. Most important, imo. 2) Log all of your food and drink. Erryfin. 3) Are you deducting your BMR typical minute calorie burn from your HRM? For example, if I burn 500 calories in an hour, I deduct 60 as that's…

I don't go out for a sit down meal very often - maybe every couple of months. If I'm going out to eat, I just eat whatever I want. However, if I ate out a lot, then I'd pre-log and eat light the rest of the day/day after etc.

So basically, you think it will help you lose weight, rather than you don't LIKE them...
-
Exactly. You didn't get to 219lb by not eating enough calories. :noway:

I live in the UK, but if $2 is around £1-ish, then I don't think that's very expensive. £7 a week? I get a box of 15 protein bars when I have spare money and just have them for when I'm in a rush and miss breakfast or as a post-gym snack as it takes me a while to travel home to eat.

Well from Costa I like a skinny hot chocolate and their 3 x chocolate donuts. Chocolate topped, chocolate shavings, and gooey chocolate inside

Exactly!

THIS all over again. I go through phases where I don't have much of an appetite, but it never lasts long!

Oh gosh...

All you need for weight loss is a calorie deficit. You can do this either through eating less, burning more, or a mixture of both. If you walk for an hour a day, that would be around 700-1400 calories a week burnt, depending on pace, weight etc etc. If you also ate less than your maintenance, you could easily lose 0.5lb a…

I used an online calculator that takes in to account my body fat percentage (based on my scales) which was relatively close to my maintenance when sedentary. I was sofa and bed-ridden for a good week or two, ate on average 1700 calories, and gained 0.5lb after around two weeks. The calculator gave me 1750, but obviously…

This! I had a first date soon, aaaaaaaaaagh!

I'd agree with previous posters - food scales are important. You log your food amnd exercise on MFP - that's what you created an account for. There is a section at the top called REPORTS and you can select at the top of MFP and you can see your weight loss over a selected period, as well as net calories etc.

I was recently ill and had surgery. I ate my maintenance when sedentary (1700 or there abouts) and gained 0.5lb which then came off in a couple of days and now I'm at my lowest weight in about 2 years. 1200 is always too low, imo.

Lucky for you - I sweat like a pig! Gross! :embarassed:

Snap. I usually have 2-3 'proper meals' (sometimes skip breakfast if I'm on an early shift for work), and then 2 snacks.
-
I go to the gym after work usually, but yesterday I went on my day off and didn't eat beforehand as I just wasn't hungry. I can't workout for 2 hours after a meal usually.

...Just go outside and walk? LOL I never knew they did DVDs where you stand in place and walk? Is this for real? :noway: :noway: :noway:
