I found they last way way longer just putting them in the fridge. left outside of the fridge they would last a few days. In the fridge mine last well over a week.

I make 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (150 cals), 1/2 cup of frozen berries (30-50 cals) 1/2 cup 0% plain greek yogurt. (70 cals). Add water to desired consistency and blend. Totals around 250 to 270 depending on the berries. And is about 50 g protein. Makes a nice filling breakfast. I also do a raspberry version with a…

I had a sore lower back after running because i realized I was bending forward ever so slightly at the hips, which put a lot of stress on my lower back. I made a mental note to adjust and the pain went away. The next time you run pay close attention to your posture and how your body feels.

When you've been at it for a long time the loss slows significantly. I started roughly December 2011. So almost exactly 3 years. I've lost 75 lbs give or take. I've gone in spurts of losing and maintaining. Here is how it averages out over the three years. - 25 lbs per year - 2.08 lbs per month - .52 lbs per week - .074…

any home workout program can be good. I like them cause I dont have to leave the house when its snowy and dark out in the morning. As for beachbody, I like the production values of Team beach body programs. Decent background music, good looking people to look at ( Shaun T!) and pretty fun overall. If you don't wanna pay…

do you use the website and the app on a mobile device all in the same day? I notice the numbers get weird if I use both in one day.

I am also looking for a good HRM....not sure what to pick yet, but be aware Fitbit and similar devices are not HRM...they are activity trackers. I thought they were HRM too. But they use a motion sensor and your height/weight/age stats to guestimate your calorie burn, instead of your HR.

Not sure I understand...you want to add your past weights that you recorded elsewhere or you want to see your past weights that you already input? You can view all your past entries in the "reports" tab.

I developed this from running also. Was pretty bad in both feet. Getting out of bed in the morning was quite painful. I wore good shoes all day and did lots of stretching. Stretching out my hamstrings and calf muscles helped me a lot. (Before getting out of bed in the morning especially) I believe that can be part of the…

Had the same problem. Would do great all week and then binge on weekends. Read this book "How to Have Your Cake and Your Skinny Jeans Too" by Josie Spinardi Its on amazon for $9.99 in e-reader format. It's basically a breakdown of dieting psychology and how dieting leads to food obsession and binging. Teaches you…

[quote= Just by reading the title of this book, it is probably talking about: If It Fits Your Macros (IIFYM). Which is basically eating "dirty foods" in moderation and making them fit your calorie goal. [/quote] Actually not at all what its about. Its about how counting calories and watching macros can lead to eating…

Hi David, after losing a lot of weight and dieting for a while I was in the same boat as you. I started binging more frequently. I searched for some info on this and found a good book on how dieting and calorie counting may negatively effect your attitude towards food and cause binge eating. I still count calories myself…

I assume you are eating a lot of sandwiches for lunches and such. A good way around this putting everything you would put on your sandwich minus the bread in a container. So your meat, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, onions, cottage cheese and dressing...whatever you want. (be sure to watch what kind of dressing you are using.…

It sounds like you were having a panic attack, not that you are out of shape. We all have fears and going to they gym was certainly one of mine for years. It was very brave of you to tackle this fear. I would encourage you not to give up. Its very hard to conquer something new that causes you extreme anxiety but it sound…

looks like thrush. its a yeast infection basically. generally caused by a weakened immune system or too many antibiotics. You will be given an anti-fungal mouth rinse and thats it. I think you have to see a doc to get this though.

I should clarify, I am not trying to go low carb....I am trying to balance out my macros. I am getting too many calories from carbs instead of protein. 1 g protein per lb is my goal. I will have a look through your diaries for tips. I am trying to lose fat, gain muscle. But in all my reading, I keep seeing that you cannot…

Start a lifting routine for your upper body and squats for lower. I lost 60 lbs and still had flabby fat arms and thighs. 3 months of weights and they arnt actually all that thinner, but muscle is now replacing fat, so they look thinner and much better. I do Chalean Extreme.

Thanks for all the positive comments! I find the Success posts very inspiring. So hopefully this encourages some people on their journey too.

I tried em for a month. Noticed nothing at all....like nothing happened. Nothing bad. nothing good. They smell nice though :)

I don't know what your diet or exercise routine is....but maybe you are trying to do too much at once, so that you can't stick to it for long. Try easing into it slower, to form it into a way of life rather than a diet/exercise routine. Try reducing your cals a little and adding in exercise a few days a week. Once you get…

Switch it up! Run a different route...somewhere you never ran before. Or run your route in reverse of how you normally do. Get music or put new music on your mp3. Try a running training program that has you running different distances each day or has you doing speed drills. Try anything but what you have been doing. I find…

I have tried Chalean Extreme and T25...both of these were not for me. I found Chalean didn't have much of a cardio element to it and was a little slow/boring. T25 is lots of fast cardio, not a lot of toning. Running was my main form of exercise before I tried Insanity. To get into shape in 60 days you cannot beat Insanity.…

Thanks! I think that is great advice. I will listen to my body more and use that as a gage.

I should have left out the fact that i'm not losing weight, to not confuse my question. I'm having great progress (lose clothing, changes in how I am shaped) so the fact that its not reflected on the scale yet is not really bothering me. I just want to make sure I am fueling myself properly for my workouts. I do not want…

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I like all of them. im gonna try 60g milk (30cals), a tsp of sugar (15 cals) a half tsp of vanilla ( 6 cals) for a total of 51 cals. I want to also try cinnamon instead of the vanilla cause that sounds yummy. I have tried stevia. I found the flavour a bit strong (although the vanilla…

He acts strange about it...in a way that makes me think me losing weight is making him insecure. He acts like my diet and workouts are disruptive to his life. Like me doing a 40 minute Insanity workout in the living room is really that disruptive! He doesn't compliment me on my success either unless I am bragging about it…

I don't tell anyone close to me about my goals...except maybe my boyfriend...but I tell him everything, so that doesn't count. I don't tell family/friends/coworkers. I read once about the physiology of goal setting, that if you tell someone about a goal then you get the positive feelings of success before you complete the…

I am 5' 6', 200 lbs, female and I'm a day away from being half way done (Day 29). Its a great workout and if you are looking for a challenge than this is for you. I have been stuck around the 200-210 mark for a long time, previously lost 60 lbs, so the losing is slowed down. Anyways, I was 201 when i started insanity and…

I remember the first time I ever felt subconscious about how I looked. I was probably 11 and looking back I wasn't fat....just not skinny. I had a new pair of jean overalls that I thought were pretty cool (lol). My best friend wanted to try them on and after she did they were really loose on her cause she was quite skinny.…
