It's nice to see someone that lives on the South Shore :) I have been struggling with not eating late night snacks. I've been trying to keep some calories so I can have a small, healthy snack after 7pm....but some nights are not that easy, lol. I think you'll find a lot of support on this site.

I also wanted to lose weight for my wedding a few years ago. I didn't like how my wedding dress looked on me so I found a picture of it in a wedding magazine and placed in on the fridge (my guy had already seen the dress). I am also on a tight budget. I am a graduate student and had to cut down on my hours at work to focus on school. We don't eat red meat as well. We switched to ground turkey about 3 years, and love it. We use it for any recipe that calls for ground beef. Some of our favorite recipes include lettuce wraps, turkey meatballs, a variety of chili, enchiladas, and taco salad.

If you are trying to lose weight, you should try to cut down on soda. It's not good for you, even diet soda. I am not a big fan of water either, but I've been drinking powerade zero and crystal light. Try it out for a week or so and see if you notice a difference.
