I don't see anything wrong with that and have done that before as well. But if you don't like the taste I would recommend making vanilla chai tea and then adding 2oz of almond milk. It makes it only ten calories and makes the tea creamy for a more full feeling. Or if you have 55 calories to spare lately I’ve been taking a…

I do this too. My BMR works out to about 1 calorie per minute just for normal living functions so I would take amount my polar (not pink) HRM says I burn and reduce it by the amount of minutes I was working out. So if I burn 300 calories in 50 minutes I would enter it as 250.

This law is stupid and will most likely be ineffective. They only banned larger sized drinks, not buying two smaller sizes. All this will leed too is more waste in the form of cups/bottles etc. Education is the best way to get people to make more informed choices, not outright taking their choices away. I know way too many…

It is amazing what you can accomplish when you don't allow yourself to quit. It's what I kept telling myself to get through C25K!

When I'm out walking/jogging with my dog and someone whistles. Are you whistling at me or the dog? Either way it's weird. Or when a 14 year old sees me jogging by and asks to pet my dog, dude I'm jogging, this is kind of a non-stopping workout. The biggest annoyance are people who let their dogs chill in the front yard off…

I agree with this. Maybe it'll be a passing issue that you can push off for a few years. I don't even remember leg hair being an issue till middle school!

For a beginner I recommend either taking a walk or if you like working out inside your home doing the Leslie Sansone workouts. It is based around walking in place but it can really get the heart rate up. Today was day 15 of the 30 day shred for me. I'm just trying REALLY hard to make it the full 30 days and not give myself…

This. I've actually had friends drop around me from heat stroke while I was perfectly fine. Drenched in sweat but fine. My only problem is making sure I get the salt back into my body that I've sweated out after a serious workout. Just think of yourself as highly evolved and an efficient sweater :)

I agree with the 30 day shred advice. It doesn't make you lose a lot of weight in my opinion but you can see your body change in a short period of time.

So your work friend invited you out in YOUR car using YOUR gas to do things only she finds interesting? Then she invited herself to spend the night at YOUR house and doesn't even have the decency to invite you to the brunch she is planning with your other friend all the while lying and saying she is going home to take care…

When I did it last year I gained at first too, I chalked it up to my muscles holding on to water to help repair themselves. I think I only dropped a couple of lbs while doing it then dropped more weight immediately after I stopped doing the workout.

This is my first time posting a picture. Be easy on me!

Congrats on your new family member :)

My water at my house doesn't taste very good from the tap either. While you're at walmart you could pick up mio to add to it or just buy a lemon and put a slice in every glass to mask the metallic flavor. That's what I do. Other than that you'll just have to do a lot of label comparison to see which foods have the least…

^^^This, women can be horrible.

So are you venting or are you caring?

I'll say it, he's a jerk and you should drop his stupid behind. When a friend can't even say congrats when you hit your goal (and they know you've hit your goal), what kind of friend are they?
-
Congratulations! That is amazing!

If you start doing smoothies or protein shakes (although you already get a lot of protein) you can hide some vegetables in there.

Stop playing devil's advocate. If hunger isn't the question then food isn't the answer.

I have big thighs and can usually find at least one pair at Old Navy to fit.

One sign of dehydration is headaches. Sometimes when my head starts to hurt I down a glass of water and can make it the pain go away.

I think I'm mostly judgemental when I have to stand on the train because someone is taking up two seats. I do try to remember that I don't know someone else's full story and therefore shouldn't judge a snapshot of their life. However when their actions start to affect others I notice I get a little irritated.
