I do the same thing as Kiki. I just use a strong resistance band and loop it around the bar and use it for assistance!

I've read the book and I love everything that Amber talks about! She's amazing!!! I've tried to eat intuitively but ended up not eating enough. So I had to go back to tracking. I tend to get too obsessive about it though and I dread it but it's the only thing that works for me as of now. I can't trust my body's cues just…

Yay!!!!! Congratulations!!!!

I'll chime in and agree that you're probably not eating enough. Either increase your calories OR cut back on the amount of cardio you're doing.

I like this one: http://www.health-calc.com/diet/energy-expenditure-advanced I wear a BMF and this calculator is right in line with what my BMF says my average TDEE is. It helps to know exactly how you're using your energy, though, when using the calculator above. It's only as precise as the numbers you put in.

Heybales, I take my deficit directly from the average that my BMF gives me. Since I'm probably considered "overweight by a decent amount", do you think the BMF is over-inflating my numbers or do you think it's pretty reliable?
-
This is just my personal opinion but eating at a 25% deficit may be why your weight loss has stalled. Try going to a 20% cut and see if that makes a difference.

Hi ladies, count me in the over 200 club too!! Before summer break I was about 195 but ended up doing an accidental bulk (hahahaha, eating over my TDEE!) and ended up gaining about 20 pounds BUT I'm still the same size in clothing. Go figure, right?? I think it's because, even though I was eating more than my TDEE, I was…

Feel free to add me! Love to see friends on my list who EAT!!!

You definitely need to eat more, esp when doing a program like Insanity where you burn crazy calories! Here's where the problem is....say you eat 1400 calories a day but between your walking schedule and Insanity, you're burning 1000 calories. Not to mention what you're burning just doing regular daily activity. You're…

Someone recommended the Eat This Much site to me and I have found it to be very helpful! http://www.eatthismuch.com/

I personally love Now Sports whey protein isolate, unflavored. I like that it has no additives, no added sugar, no artificial crap. Just pure protein! I mainly use it in my protein shakes but sometimes I'll add it to recipes (like muffins) and/or in my greek yogurt if I need more protein but don't want to eat more food…

I buy the organic virgin coconut oil (unrefined) from Trader Joe's. It's reasonably priced from the research I've done. I generally don't cook with it, as the coconut taste is too strong for me and I don't particularly like it. But I do add a TBS to my protein shakes and I use it on my skin and on my hair! It's a fabulous…

I'm very interested!!!!

I'll send you a friend request!! Love being able to support others in this group!!

My advice is to increase your calories. Every single time I stalled in my weight loss it was because I wasn't eating enough. Usually it was because my activity level would increase but I'd still eat the same number of calories, causing too large of a deficit. I was lifting heavy but also doing cardio every day, in addition…

If you can swing it, invest in some resistance bands (they sell them at Target and on Amazon for pretty good prices). Those are awesome to work with and you can adjust them accordingly, depending on which exercise you're doing. There are so many ways to make home exercises tougher...just google and I'm sure you'll find a…

Welcome to the group!! Glad you're here! In the beginning I had a hard time (mentally) allowing myself to eat my TDEE (even with a deficit). So I increased my calorie amount slowly. It took, I believe, 6 weeks for my body to stabilize and the weight to come off. Looking back, I almost wish I had just jumped in with both…

I have my fat set to 30% and I often go over that. Almost all my fat intake is from healthy sources (nuts, seeds, coconut oil, EEVO, nut butters, etc). I don't worry about it too much unless it's causing me to be low on my protein levels. Fat helps me stay full and feel satisfied.

Thanks for the invite!! For those of you who I'm not already friends with here, feel free to add me!! Oh I'm Helene on the FB ETF group!
