Well, now you know who my husband is. Didn't realize he was still logged in this morning. My bad!

Do you puree them? Are they dried dates?

So funny, I recently introduced coffee back into my diet and am noticing similar side effects. Today I've begun cutting it out again. I call coffee my "gateway drug" because it seems to be the catalyst for my eating things and amounts of things I have no business eating. Hoping you'll begin to feel better and lose easier…

Lady, you can do it! There's a part of you that doesn't WANT to do it, and it's screaming louder than the rest of you that wants to do it but is tired today. We've said this before, "You won't regret getting up and working out, but you will regret NOT getting up and exercising." That's been true for me every day. I've…

It IS a good Friday the 13th! The scale didn't go up this morning, even though I'm retaining water (sure of it!), so that means we'll be looking at lower numbers very, very soon (and hopefully numbers that start with 1 instead of 2 in the hundreds place!!) It's going to be a great day today! Much to be thankful for, not…

Great ideas. Bumping for later! Thanks!

Today, the motivating phrase was, "This will not kill me!" and "If I don't do this, it will kill me! I WILL DIE!" (it meaning, the being unhealthy) Both of which were repeated frequently in my last workout!

I can't imagine not needing water for a 5k! I drink 2-3 24oz bottles of water during a 1.5 mile run/walk. <This is the whimp talking though.

Wow, that's fascinating! Maybe I need to record my head measurements now too. I can tell in the face a diiference. Glad those measurements are keeping you motivated! I've got a measurement in my check-in section called"flabby arms". Lookinh forward to seeing those go down!

What great motivation! You go girl!

This is a great thread! I had the same questions!

This is a great discussion. We've got a treadmill at home, and, although I'm still concerned about my joints, I'm so stoked that it's teaching me how to be a runner. All these years getting good at elliptical couldn't train me how to plant my feet correctly, how to stand, how to breathe, etc., but slowly increasing…

Hey! I'm also looking for some clean food friends! I am new to "clean eating", so I'm hoping that looking at your food diaries will help me to be more creative with our family meals and also help me to eat cleaner as a whole. Thanks for posting this!

While you're mowing, think about what you have to be thankful for. Celebrate with your body over what God is doing with you! You are an inspiration to me! And lawns? As in, more than one? Sounds like a fantastic workout! Log it!

I put spinach on just about anything I can. Spinach makes a great "bed" for almost any of the casseroles, lasagnas, chicken/tuna salads etc. you may eat. I eat spinach by itself with a little dressing and some raisins or parm. cheese. The kids will eat spinach plain. They just love it. It's great also chopped up into…

Overeating by 21 calories? :) I think you'll do just fine! Good for you to care for your body to put in that kind of amazing work, and good for you to care for you body by allowing it to rest and heal. Really excited for you!

This is an AWESOME thread! My favorites? Dark Chocolate Almond Milk Broccoli Fresh Spinach Tomatoes Strawberries (mmm, yum!) oatmeal And water and I are finally starting to get along a little better. I'm starting to crave it! (instead of other beverages) Nice!

Thanks. Will look into that. I guess I'll have to see if insurance covers things like that.

Lindsey, way to go on starting! Brush off the slip up and let tomorrow be a new day. If every day you get up and try, then you're already doing better than you were a few weeks ago when you weren't trying. Simply logging in the calories is going to be a wake up call for you. Log everything, good or bad. It will get easier,…

Thank you for posting this! Haven't even thought about the joy of lost cellulite or the joy of painless clothing! Looking forward to that now. More motivation to keep at it! Thanks!

Thanks Rosie. Will check that out!

It's funny, my neck hurts, and then my knees, hips, ankles, sins, and calves all hurt. But honestly, I expect it to hurt because I'm pushing them harder than they're used to. I just want to be careful to protect them too! Anybody?

I guess not many have tried it, but I'm intrigued! Do you notice the physiological benefits from these teas? For example, does the Yogi Women's Moon Tea really help? And where are you finding your teas?

For that particular workout (walking dog at 3.0mph), my machine still reads a higher calories burned than MFP. I was doing that one on the treadmill. It does make sense to go with the more conservative number, but I know if I get it right then there will be less chance of starving my body of needed calories and more…
-
I have NOT tried this, but I am curious what you put IN your tea? Not meaning to change the subject! What do these different teas have in them?
-
Thanks for posting these! Last night I printed a bunch of these off and taped them to my mirror, treadmill, and up in the pantry. There's one taped to the sugar canister in the cupboard. I can already tell this is going to be a huge help for me. Here's another one that I was thinking about on the treadmill this morning,…

woldlin, I'm not long into this, but a staple for me is a simple rice, broccoli, and cheese casserole. Sometimes I'll add in chicken, but I'm trying to lean more towards plant based proteins, so we're limiting the meats. It saves time limiting meats for sure! On the casserole, I make a ton of it and just eat it on the go.…

Hey! I just saw this thread and thought "Hey! That's me!" I've got 3 littles, 6, 5, and 3. The 6 year old is homeschooling, so I'm pretty busy but getting in my workout every morning on the treadmill! Praise the Lord for a treadmill in the garage! Wonder what I will do when it's 100 degrees out though! I'm going to keep up…

Thanks for all the quotes. I'm not long into this process, and need to hear these things! Here are some things that I have been speaking to myself through this last month: I want this body to be thoroughly equipped for every good work. I want it trained and prepared for whatever God has in store. I do not want to be too…
