  • Cannondale Synapse Hi-Mod 2, Cannondale Quick 2, and for my bad winter days Diamondback sorrento. Sold my cars in 2010 and have never been happier.
  • But I sleep twice. I sleep from about 5a- 11a and then again from roughly 1p-730. Should I just use the standard, 12a-12a as my day of food logging and exercise? I don't count my bike commute in my calories burned with work. I mean it's only 3 miles...maybe 15 minutes of biking.
  • I hate running except during basketball and soccer. I got into cycling and it has transformed my life, I commute to work 17miles round trip. I also bike to everything now. The biking community is awesome so there is a TON of support. Great for cardio too.
  • I'm up there a lot, because I have family in Akron. Coming from GA, you will need a new wardrobe. They have a great parks system in the area. Crime is bad in certain areas as with all major U.S. cities nightlife has its moments. I don't know about schools.
  • I'd rather have 93 and sunny. Then 40, rain and highwinds.
  • I guess to a point. I know I usually feel better during and after because I ride and play basketball with friends. So I think that has a lot to do with it in general. I'm bummed when plans fall thru for bball.
  • That and most bikes shops are very nice about test riding their bikes, to see which kind of style you would like.
  • ugh...Wal mart bikes make me shutter anything from Wal-mart does that though. I'm all for biking and if you aren't going to be hard on it, and store it inside away from the elements, then it will do just fine. 80$ bikes tend to have cheap *kitten* parts and in the near future to keep that bike working you may spend about…
  • eggs. I eat them everyday.
  • YAY Saturns! my Ion is named Babe, after Paul Bunyon's blue ox. My Honda Crosstour is named Tango, because it is Tango Red. Heck I even name my bicycles(because I use them the most) My mountain bike is Bumble bee and my commuter bike is EQ(earthquake) because I bought it almost exactly as the earthquake struck the D.C. area
  • Bike season ends? I love getting new stuff for my bikes. I spend more on them than my cars. hahaha
  • zero. Not a fan of kids for more then 3 hours. Everybody always says, "When they are yours it will be different." I always say, "I'm not taking that chance for 18 years if it's not" I know kids are kids for life, but you can legally kick them out at 18. hahaha
  • I don't eat mine back. I burn about 2k a day, so that's almost 4k. I've been losing weight and adding muscle so this seems to be working.
  • eggs, turkey sausage, deli turkey, chicken breast, all kinds of nuts, and all kinds of fruit(mostly apples, blueberries and bananas
  • It should be fun. I guess there aren't a lot of Ohio cyclist that like beer, which I know is false. hahaha
  • Breckenridge Brewery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure about the Gluten stuff. Great beer and food though. If you are near Idaho Springs(its a little east of BR you can try Beaujos pizza. I know they have gluten free stuff. Man Colorado is AWESOME!
  • Go up to Manitou Springs near CS. Should be some places up there. There is a Gluten Free bakery near Manitou Springs.
  • You can say just about anything to a guy and have his attention.
  • Boiled eggs, some kind of fruit with peanut butter.
  • Nuts are great. Maybe a boiled egg, some protein bars and or oatmeal bars. Jerky is also a good option if you aren't worried about sodium.
  • HA! I hear you man, I'm out all the time, I just ate the bad stuff and a lot of it. Well thanks for the friend request. Love to have more cyclist on my side! BTW what kind of MTB do you have?
  • Ah, the buffet along with the fast food chains, candy and sugars the natural predator of the MFP'er. Is it only a buffet? or can you order off a menu? If so I would try to go that way, or like the above said, rice and small portions of meat and veggies.
  • <This guy
  • No clue what makes you lose it on the weekends? Is it drinking? to much food or both? Depending on the city you live in, you could do what we do and cycle to the bar areas and do a pub crawl, catch the bus,cab or have a friend pick you up.

  • HOORAY for cycling! I eat a lot of chicken, eggs and turkey. I also eat almost any veggie you can think of, so I don't get bored with said options. As for when I'm cycling I take along some kind of nuts and/or a fiber one bar or quaker oats bar.
  • Way to go on the cycling and walking! Was the bike a stationary or an outside bike?
  • I don't know the financial situation but I would suggest cycling. It's fun and you can explore whole new things within your city and surrounding areas, and it is VERY low impact.
  • Cardio in a gym suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Get a bicycle and get it in that way.
  • Stationary bikes are all right, I guess. I use them if there is going to be a lot of lighting, but I prefer a real bike because you have all kinds of variables and even following the same commute it is never the same as the day before.
