I'm sorry you're feeling so bad, but I really want to thank you for posting this. Pizza is what I keep dreaming about, but I'm pretty sure it would feel really icky to eat right about now. Your story just helped affirm that for me. Hang in there!

I look at the before-and-after pics in the Success Stories section of MFP! They're AMAZING!
-
Me too! The pictures are soooooo inspiring!!

When I'm going to be out of my routine for whatever reason, I try to at least eat a sensible breakfast. Will you have a refrigerator in your room? If not, maybe you can ask for one and stock up on yogurt and fruit or whatever.

I like to end my day perusing the success stories that have pictures with them because they are SO motivational. Glad yours is here today. You look awesome and have really inspired me!

That's what I would do too!

Please go see your doctor.

I started at just about the same weight as you and am trying to lose 50 lbs. So this is VERY inspiring to me! Your look FANTASTIC. (And I love your glasses!!)

You look amazing. And your story is really inspiring! Thank you!!!

Not to hijack this thread, but I just wanted to respond to this. Obviously everyone is different, but being really public about my mission to lose weight has been *really* good for me. I post my ticker on Facebook every week on my weigh-in day and have gotten a lot of support from people that I haven't been in touch with…

I'm brand new at this, so take this for what it's worth: More veggies! And fruits! And water!!!!!

I've read all the books you mentioned and loved them. I really enjoyed the Stieg Larsson books. From talking to other people, I'm pretty sure that if you start one you'll know pretty quickly whether you'll love it or hate it. Doesn't seem to be too many in between. I would also suggest Melissa Bank's "The Girls' Guide to…

Thank you so much for sharing this. Learning about other people's struggles and victories and perserverance is what I LOVE about this site. You are keeping me inspired today!!!

The first 4-5 days of not eating the sugary crap I love was the hardest. I was super irritable and there was a lot of craving going on. After that, though, it really just turned into not such a big deal any more. At this point (I'm about four weeks in) I think about some of the sweet stuff I used to eat and it doesn't…

I eat the Kashi Go Lean Crunch (honey flax almond) with 1% milk and strawberries. It's like the grown-up version of Cap'n Crunch with Crunch Berries! I need a lot of protein in the morning and the Kashi cereal does it for me.

Really inspiring. Thanks so much for posting. You look GREAT!

That's an awesome achievement! You must feel so good!!!!

Thanks, everybody! Just thought I'd give you an update. First of all, Aliceolson brings up a good point (and I'm not just saying that because she's my mom). What exactly do I even mean by cheating? No, I definitely did NOT mean that I would lie on my food diary. And it wasn't solely about going over my calorie allowance.…

I actually want to start carrying hand weights while I walk, so I'm looking at this one: http://tinyurl.com/6ylkusv

I actually like the feeling of being a little sore later in the day or the next day. I think that means I'm gonna LOVE the 30-Day Shred once I finally get to it.

I've been eating Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal. I get the almond honey flax flavor and top it with a 1/2 c. of strawberries. It's like the grown-up version of Cap'n Crunch with Crunch Berries and definitely keeps me satisfied all morning.

OMG! There's a Shake Shack in DC?!?!? :noway:

You look amazing. It would be a real shame to let all that work go to waste and return to your 50-pound-heavier-26-minute-two-miler-not-as-happy-or-healthy state. Get back to it! We need you!!

Wish I had seen this thread *before* lunch! Everything sounds fabulous! Giving me ideas for tomorrow ....

Ooh, I like this! I'm really new at this and so far I haven't been tempted to "cheat" but I know it's inevitable. Hang in there michellelohara! Today is definitely a new day and you CAN do this!!!

I've been walking around the neighborhood for exercise and my son likes to ride his bike. He'll jets up ahead and then come back, when we pass a school parking lot, he spins around in there for a while. We kinda stay together but not really and it's just a residential neighborhood so it's safe for him. I just ordered some…

I listened to the most recent "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" podcast this morning on my walk and I was literally laughing out loud. People probably thought I was nuts!

Ooh, me too. You know what else is good for carrots? Roast them in the oven with a little olive oil and dill. They come it really sweet and yummy!

I'm brand new to MFP and to exercising regularly, but I've found that even if I get out and walk for 20 minutes during my lunch break, it feels really good. I've also been doing the 10-Minute Solutions workouts (instant streaming on Netflix!). I just started them, but my plan is to do one or two of those *before* work on…

I've only been at this two weeks, but I'm the same height and weight as you. Feel free to look at my food diary for ideas. It's working really well for me so far. I've lost a little weight, I feel FANTASTIC and MOTIVATED, and I don't feel deprived of food AT ALL.
