If you're not even getting a buzz, what's the point? I'm not sure you're being honest with yourself. If drinking beer is causing problems for you, stop doing it. If you can't stop, then it's a bigger problem than you think it is.

It's already been said, but one more time for emphasis. You're not eating enough. (Obviously, just my opinion.)

iCarly rocks! And Phineas & Ferb makes me literally LOL. That Ned's Declassified, etc., etc., whatever, is also pretty funny. But please, God, save me from the Suite Life ....

I agree with everyone who suggested exercising. I was super super stressed at work the other day and -- much to my surprise -- my first thought was to go walk around the block a couple times. It actually did help me clear my head. I also want to tell you that I didn't get a job that I was absolutely 100% guaranteed I would…

I would say that if you're interested in trying to kick the diet soda, do your best to push through this craving period. I used to crave soda back when I drank it. Now I only drink water and when I'm thirsty? Water is the only thing that'll do. Like others have said, I don't think diet soda is the worst thing you could do…

Please call your doctor.

What a hot couple you are!! Also ... LOL!

There are, like, a bajillion threads on this very topic. Just do a search for "exercise calories." There's a lot of good information here.

Your goals look pretty aggressive to me. I think the first couple are totally do-able if you really work at it, but after that I don't know. I'm also 5' 6" and I started at 216. I'm in 13 weeks now and have lost 28 pounds, which means if I had your same goals I would have hit the first one and I've made the second one a…

Welcome! When I started this thing, I just decided I was going to tell EVERYBODY. All my co-workers, my Facebook friends, everybody. I'm sure that's not a one-size-fits-all strategy, but it has really worked well for me. Good luck and stick with it! You can do it!

I would suggest you call your doctor's office. I'm sure someone there will give you some advice over the phone.
-
I don't think you should decide that you're not going to see your doctor because you already "know" what she's going to say. In other words, I would encourage you to be open-minded and ask for help from someone who might actually have a solution for you. Good luck!

Wow -- all your hard work is *definitely* paying off! You look awesome!
-
This question confuses me.
-
So happy for you! You've been working so hard -- it's nice to see it pay off in such a big way!!!

Seriously LOL. Here's another vote for SAMMICH! Also ... YES.

SO excited for you!!!!!

You definitely don't want to be stuck without something good (and healthy!) to eat. Will you have a desk? Will you have access to a refrigerator? I keep protein bars, nuts, rice cakes, almond butter, and pita chips in my desk. Like whole packages of each thing so I don't have to think about it every day, I just know there…

I don't know. The article seems kind of circular. What I got from it is that obese people who are active and eat well are better off than fat people who aren't active and don't eat well. So yeah, healthy fat people are healthier than unhealthy fat people. That doesn't really seem like a breakthrough to me.

When I saw you had Chipotle one day for breakfast I figured that must be what you're doing!

Thanks for posting this. I've loved reading all the responses on this thread. I lost three pounds per week for the first three weeks and have been steadily losing two pounds per week since then. I weigh myself every day, but my "official" weigh-in is Tuesday morning. That's the only day I do a "check-in" here on the site…

I'm just getting ready to do my Level 1 Day 4 workout. The first couple days were BRUTAL. I'm a big fan (and financial supporter! ha!) of ibuprofen. Yesterday, when I walked out the front door and realized I had to go down about six steps to get to my car I thought I was going to cry. I'm pushing through it though. And I…

"Midnight Run." I'm sure I could recite the whole movie, but no one really wants to hear that.

73% - thanks for posting this! Very interesting!

I was going to say the same thing as emccand. Maybe you're getting sick? If it drags on, maybe see your doctor.

I think if you have a lot to lose (like I do), it's not unrealistic at all. I started at 216 and lost three pounds per week for the first three weeks, then two pounds per week since then. I know that when I get closer to a healthy weight I won't be able to lose that fast, but for now it's coming off pretty easily and I…

Like you, I'm excited about 30DS but figure it would probably kill me if I try it before I lose a few more pounds. Try Leslie Sansone's Walk-at-Home DVDs. Someone suggested them to me and I'm having a great time with them. It's super easy and if the harder parts are too hard, just keep walking in place! You'll definitely…

I"m 46 and my kids are 10 and 12. I just started on MFP six weeks ago and have lost 15 pounds. I feel better than I've felt in my whole life, which I think is pretty amazing considering I'm still way overweight!! But I'll take it! I don't know what happened for me. One day it was like a switch got flipped and I was just…
