  • Any will work, i prefer to do them @ home so i don't look and feel like a dweeb if i fall, when you build up your core you fall less. there are so many out there, i use one by Gaiam but am going to switch soon(old).it's also always cheaper to do DVD's and get weights for the home than a gym membership if $$ is a concern.
  • welcome fellow texan! there are a lot of people from the lone star state on here(holy cow)! good luck...happy losing!:drinker:
  • do you snore at night? it can cause you to not sleep restfully due to lack of O2. i have hypothyroidism(slower metabolism) and it causes me to be very tired(nap daily) and lose weight extremely slow, I had it in jr. high and it went away and then went to a thyroid specialist after dr's kept telling me it was fine and she…
  • A good thing to strengthen your core is pilates.....I think it might be one of the best ways to get it up to par actually... also for belly fat and love handles jogging works really well.. start out slowly in the beginning and add time to it every week. Weight lifting is a good way to burn calories especially when you work…
  • Walking is a good way to get started... I have the same faltering problem...I don't walk everyday but I try to make sure if I'm not to stay on my feet most of the day, avoid sitting as much as possible(stay at home mom)... good luck....happy losing!:drinker:
  • good luck... and as far as the gym goes don't sweat it almost anyone there is to busy worrying about themselves to even care about what your doing.....everyone is self-concious about something, that what I tell myself when I go:laugh:
  • glad your feeling better....congrats on the loss... good luck!:drinker:
  • i get low fat cottage cheese as well.. and like to snak on nuts and string cheese... it especially helps curb the appetite when you're on the go and not starving.
  • cleburne, tx, woo woo!
  • I know this will sound weird but also try jell-o, it actually works, you soak your feet for 5-10 minutes and them rinse them off. Don't ask me why but I guess it's not just for snacking anymore!
  • Eat before you exercise (at least 45 minutes before) and then a lite snack shortly after preferably with protein in it as this will also help hold off hunger til lunch, sometimes if I'm rushing to get my workout and food in I just split my breakfast for the before and after. Hope this helps!
  • Thank you, 23 views and your the only response so far, I appreciate it!:flowerforyou:
  • I started mission 2 yesterday of Billy Blanks Boot Camp and my back is killing me. I was hoping maybe I could get some advice without going to the doc as far as stretches or light exercises to help with the lower back area (I'm stubborn about docs), I'm going to rest and ice it today but any stretching ideas to loosen them…

  • Exactly!! I just don't see the point in Prescriptions. I smoke at least a pack a day and am trying to slowly ween myself but it's not working, I know if I do it cold turkey that I am going to be horrible to be around so I am just wondering if there's any kind if herbal thing or anything really to help.(other than meds)
