Alcoholism is already considered a disease, however, smoking is not, but who knows, that could be next. I think there is potential for both good and bad outcomes. The Good: if classfying obesity as a disease allows more focus on preventative measures and allows for comprehensive and multi-faceted treatment include therapy,…

but French Fries are a vegetable!

You might need some new friends! You can add me if you want. Same as everyone - consistency and patience. I travel a lot for work and find it hard to stay on track while away and then sometimes it takes a week or two to get back on track. Add to that when I am being consistent, I keep expecting big changes, even though I…

#1 or #7. Great job meeting a mini goal and great reward!

I'm aiming for 1800 calories a day and am always looking for other girls who eat. I'm not always consistent, but am really working towards finding a good balance. Any other girls who eat can add me. Edit to add: I'm trying to work toward IIFIYM and I keep an open diary so you can see the good, the bad and the ugly.

I'm from Toronto! Sending a request through now.

First of all this is one of the best and most positive forums I have read in a long time. I definitely feel this way all the time and especially right now, but I just keep going because the only way to get where I want to go is to move forward. And I try to remember that this process isn't linear. And when I slip or can't…

I am also a makeup junkie! I love Urban Decay eye shadow, Essie and OPI nail polish, Makeup Forever eyeliners (their aqua liner is an awesome liquid liner that's actually easy to use) and just fell in love with one of their lipsticks but it was sold out, so I'll have to go back in a few weeks. :( MAC is usually my go to…

I'm starting today too! Fellow P90X newbies (and experts) please feel free to add me and we can help each other through it. :)

David Guetta is currently getting me through all my runs. I'm more of a rock n'roll or pop girl normally, but David Guetta just keeps me pushing...

Lay's ketchup chips and regular Coke (or Coke Zero) are my go too... French Fries also work.

Welcome back! You can do it! Feel free to add me if you like.

I'm so proud of you for not only running the half, but for sharing your story. You really are an inspiration and best of all, a great friend.

@BaristaX Totally laided back.

Starbuck's has a great nutritional tool on their website: http://www.starbucks.com/menu/catalog/nutrition?drink=all#view_control=nutrition My favs are Cinnamon Dolce Latte (non-fat, no whip) or Vanilla Latte (non-fat). If I don't need the caffeine, but just a snack, I like the Strawberry Smoothie. However, lately I've been…

I was recently feeling this way about exercise. I was doing okay food wise (although not perfect, I'm never perfect :)). So what I did is I gave myself a challenge and announced it to my MFP friends. My challenge was to get in some exercise every morning for 7 days straight and asked my friends to keep me accountable.…

I definitely eat. My Net goal is 1500 calories and usually eat 1800-2200 depending on exercise. Feel free to add me; it's always nice to have more friends that are similar.

As a manager, who has the joy of having to remind the office every summer of what is appropriate in our office (which amazingly does not always seem to get through to people!)... I actually think it important to either casually pull her aside and mention it or let her manager know. It's not about policing whether or not…

Welcome to MFP. I live it TO and am always happy to have more local friends, feel free to add me.

Toronto here. Feel free to add me... you can never have too many Canadian friends. :flowerforyou:

For me it really depends on the workout - when I was doing Insanity I would have to eat something otherwise I wouldn't have enough energy, but I did have to eat at least 30 minutes before starting (which means getting up even earlier) or I'd definitely feel nauseous. You also have to play with what works for you, I'd…

I'm 5'3 and try to net 1500 calories. I was too tired and hungry on 1200 calories.

Toronto :) Feel free to add me - I try to be active on the site every day and try to focus on my MFP friends positive efforts.

Great job and awesome results!

LOL Love it!

I would suggest doing a Search in the Message Boards for BMR and TDEE. I am 5'3" woman and that isn't enough calories for my height and gender if I was sedentary. You should never eat less than the exercise calories burned - your body needs calories just to maintain bodily functions and you have to eat enough to fuel those…

I agree. I choose not to comment on these posts, as I don't know whether they have had a good healthy day or if they need a little encouragement/advice. Opening my diary has definitely made me more accountable.
