How to lose body fat, not weight!
For the past month I've been eating 1,500 per day to lose weight. I'm now at 120-121lbs and happy. Though I still have a lot of fat around my middle/legs to lose. According to my scales my BF% is 24/24%, ideally I'd like it to be 18-20%. I've swapped long cardio sessions for HIIT workouts and weight training. But clueless…

Kayla Itsines BBG
Hi! :) I've done her BBG once before, but I didn't put a lot of effort in - I won't lie - so I didn't see great results. Also, my eating was pretty hit and miss. Everytime I look at Kayla's Instragram, I see images of women who have TOTALLY changed their body shape just from her guides. Really not sure whether I should do…

Kayla Itsines in London
I've just seen that Kayla Itsines is coming to London as part of her world tour! Anyone thinking of going?!

Nuts in bulk
Hi! Does anyone know where in the UK I can buy nuts in bulk? At the moment I'm paying over £3 for 250g almonds each time which is ridiculous! Thanks :)

Leg Exercises
Hi! Really keen to find out which leg exercises work for you in terms of slimming/toning (my legs are kinda large compared to my waist!!). At the moment I incorporate cardio with stepper/stair climber/squats/leg press/lunges, but feel like it's not enough. Thanks :)

Looking for a workout/clean eating buddy!
I need motivation from someone doing a similar thing to me and if they could help me figure out a workout plan.. even better! Stats/Info/Goals: - 20 y/o - 5 ft 3 - At maintenance (but won't be gutted if I lose another lb or two if it means I'm still at a healthy weight) - Fluctuating between 120-123lbs - Struggle with…

Maintenance Food Intake
Because everything I eat tends to be low calorie, getting to 1800 cals is pretty tough. I've been filling my calorie allowance with foods that contain high protein/fat to get my macros up which is working well for me - but it means I don't stop eating all day! I have breakfast, 2 snacks, lunch, 2 snacks, dinner, 2 snacks.…

Breakfast ideas?
I go to the gym for half an hour before work, meaning I then only have time to eat my breakfast at work. I usually opt for a smoothie but it doesn't fill me up enough - any quick and healthy ideas that I can eat at my desk? Bare in mind - I shouldn't be eating obvious things at my desk - hence the smoothie!!

More Calories (but not sugar or carbs)
Thanks to a few of my MFP friends I was made aware that I was consuming way too many carbs and sugar, I've turned my diet around from today and already it's proving to be successful as carbs and sugar are where they should be (plus I feel good!). The only thing is, my calories are WAY under. I've not put in dinner yet, but…

How do you know if there's anymore weight to be lost?
I am 0.6lbs off my goal, but still have a fair amount of (what I can only assume is) fat on my legs/butt. I have never been able to get below 120lbs yet the little bit of fat still sticks on me like it's life depends on it. I'm not sure if it'll just go over time without having much effect weight wise, or if I should be…

How much do you sleep?
I generally go to bed at 10.30-11, and wake up at 6.30-7, yet I'm always tired! Perhaps I need a food adjustment. How long do people sleep in a night when exercising 4-5 times a week?

Do I need to cut back on carbs
I eat around 200g carbs per day which is way above my allowance, but I can't seem to cut back! 25-30g of those come from fruit, but the rest come from oats/bread/rice cakes/pasta/rice/snack bars. Any lunch/snack alternatives that would help me cut back?

Protein
How many grams of protein should I be having? MFP has set it to 120g protein, 53g fat, 160g carbs and 58g sugar. Is that what I should be on? See stats below: Age: 20 Height: 5ft 3in Weight: 120.6lbs Goals: to lose no more than 3-5lbs more, then to maintain and build muscle along the way. Thanks in advance!
-
At what point does it end - or doesn't it?
Some people may stay on MFP forever, and that's totally fine, but I don't really want to do that as I feel I could become obsessed with calorie counting like I have done previously. I'm 1lb off my goal weight (which realistically I don't think I'll get to - so I'm going to try and maintain it now instead), and after two…

Uh oh - bad weekend ahead.
Tomorrow is my Dad's Birthday so there is cake and Chinese takeaway involved, then on Sunday I'm going out for pancakes for Mother's Day, popcorn and sweets in the cinema and then pizza takeaway in the evening! Eek...

Feeeeeeling good!
I woke up at 6.30am today and went for a run with my boyfriend before work and it was the most refreshing way to begin a Friday! On top of that, I've lost weight. Not much, but some. And some is better than none! Yay! 8 hours to go and then it's time to enjoy the weekend... :)

Protein Shakes
I currently add 1tsp of plain why protein to my smoothies 3 days a week - but I've seen several people's diaries and they all consume more protein (flavoured shakes too mmm), which ones are good to begin with?

Stuck!
I recently got down to 121.6lbs, but it only lasts a week and now I'm stuck at my usual weight of 122lbs. It's not a lot I know - but there's still a smidge more I want to lose. Any tips!? I'm eating 1500-1600 calories a day and working out 5 days a week for 30-45 minutes a time. Thanks :)

Running
Hi all At the moment I'm doing 5 x 30-45 minutes cardio (with some weight lifting) workouts a week. I'm tempted to swap one or two of my cardio sessions on the cross trainer and try running instead. Though I've heard that it ruins your knees... would 2 x 30 minute runs a week damage them badly? Thanks

Race For Life - Milton Keynes
Hello! Is anyone doing Race For Life in Milton Keynes this year? :D

Carbs
MFP allows me to have 200g of carbs a day, this seems like a lot? Am I better to aim for 100-150? Don't want to lose tons of weight, but a few lbs wouldn't hurt.

Fasted Cardio
Hi! Opinions on fasted cardio? Not done it before but I am having to change my gym routine around to fit in with work, meaning I will be working out at 7am instead of 7pm. Should I snack before or is it ok to exercise having not eaten? (I will be doing 30 mins of cardio). Thanks :)

Exercise Plan
Hi all I've just written myself a basic exercise plan to try and stay on track, I'm not looking to lose much weight - mainly just want to lower my BF%. Several people have suggested I do strength training alongside cardio, is the below a good mix? (I'm incorporating various different ab/leg/full body moves that I learnt…

Need to understand body fat %!
Hi everyone So I've gone form 134lbs to 121lbs, which is great, but I'm not sure how much lower it'll go now ( I always hit a wall at 121lbs!). I've been focussing more on body fat % recently as that's the main thing I'm concerned about keeping down, it's currently 22.4%. At present, I do 30 minutes of interval training on…

Motivation for you!
I saw this picture the other day and had to share it, it's so true. We all have insecurities, even the most stunning/physically fit of people. We will never looks like our 'body goals', but we can look similar. We need to stop beating ourselves up, the fact we're on MFP working our a**'s off is already a huge achievemnet.…

Getting Calories Up
Hi! I have no trouble eating all my 1600 daily calories if chocolate is involved, but I'm trying to avoid having it every night at the moment. Without chocolate, I'm only eating around 1300 a day and burning between 200-300 calories a day. My typical eating day is the following: Breakfast: Smoothie or porridge Snack:…

Toning up for my November travels!
Last year I had a go at getting fit and managed to lose a stone, bringing me to 122lbs. I managed to keep off just under half of what I'd lost, and am back ready to have another go! Not only am I lazy when it comes to working out, but I have a serious chocolate obsession. I'm going to allow myself 1-2 squares of lindt dark…

Toning up
Hi! Fairly new to the whole fitness thing, I was wondering, although it's pretty unlikely, is it possible to tone up (legs in particular) in 10 days!?

Help?
I usually do a 30 minute workout at about 4.5mph 4 times a week, but the dvd is getting reeeally boring now! So I'm trying to find a form of exercise that'll keep me interested. Any ideas?
