Feel good foods!
Hey Everyone! I'm coming back into this after months of being away due to a mental health break down. I'm in recovery, receiving treatment and in a good space to start taking care of myself properly. I would like to take a holistic approach, and I'm aware how much food can help me with that. So I wanted to ask for some…

Depression & possible IBS? So much pain. Help?
Hello everyone. I'm trying to get started again as I didn't manage to maintain and am in an era of self sabotage. I'm constantly exhausted, have headaches and have been dealing with depression for years... and my stomach is causing me hell. That in turn makes me bloated and heavy, and look and feel even more disgusting.…

Thinking of starting the 30 Day Shred- Should I?
I am 5'7, almost 20 and currently weigh 156lb. I'd like to lose another stone (14lb) at least so I want to step up and start actually doing some exercise and this seems like a good way to do it. A few questions though: How realistic is it that I will be able to do it as a complete beginner? / If not is there anything you…

What is the right weight for someone at 5'7?
I'm 20 and 5'7 and currently have my goal set at 140lb, but the closer I get to it (now 8lb away) the more I feel like I will probably want to lose more than that. I do however want to get the balance right- and don't want to take my weight loss too far. What would you say would be a good weight for me to be?

What should my goal weight be- 5ft6.5 Female
I've just read a post about someone who said they were called fat at 140lb at 5ft6... which was originally my goal weight. Other posters on the forum also described her as 'overweight'. I have a friend who weights over 14lb less than me and is 5'7 and I think she looks great too... but I don't know what I should be aiming…

Managing Depression + Weightloss- How do you do it?
Hey there! I'm currently looking for people who share the same interests/ troubles that I am during their weight loss journey. I have suffered with depression from the age of 8 and was put on medication for it at 12 years old- since then I've been on and off various meds for anxiety and depression and been to counselling…

I need supportive- but straight talking friends.
Hey! I've been on here since March and I'm pretty happy with my progress. But recently I've hit a wall. I started Insanity and finished the first month, but then we had a relative stay and I couldn't use the room I was using anymore so had to take a break from it. During that break I ran a few times to try and make up for…

Potatoes not Prozac- Has anyone experienced it?
I picked up the book 'Potatoes not Prozac' after randomly seeing it yesterday in a bookshop. Safe to say, it already isn't what I thought it was but it has shocked and surprised me. I didn't realise the book was about sugar sensitivity, but now I'm 60 or so pages in I've spent the entire time going 'that's me!' I'm just…

Trainers! (The shoe kind, HELP!)
Hey guys! I need shopping advice. I've been using my cheap running trainers for running and Insanity but they're starting to hurt and I'm noticing that I'm straining my ankles in them. I've been able to do my Insanity videos at home in just my socks, but I can feel that it isn't going to workout. So... time to invest! I…

Exciting NSV's and my knickers!
So yesterday whilst running I kept having to pull up my running leggings and didn't think much of it... But then last night I did Day 2 of Insanity (which is the first real workout on there).. my shorts kept riding up because they no longer sit on my hips, so I tried to readjust the tie and it wouldn't pull in anymore.…

Eating with INSANITY's nutrition guide
I'm looking to start Insanity on Monday and have been reading their nutrition guide. According to their formula I should be eating 2070 calories a day (having deducted 500 a day, they basically use the TDEE formula -500). I want the best results possible and these numbers seem quite high in comparison to the 1500 I'm…

Insanity- Is it worth the investment?
Hey guys! Sorry I'm sure this thread has been posted hundreds of times... but I need advice. The Insanity program is pretty expensive, I can afford it but I would have to make a huge commitment to it and I don't want to waste my money. Part of me is thinking that the price will ensure that I follow the plan- because I'll…

Nearing goal weight- Have your goals changed?
My goal weight used to be 140lb, (I'm 5'6.5... I did think I was 5'7 at the time) but now that I'm getting closer to my goal weight I have decided to lower my goal weight and try and push my body further fitness wise. If I don't lose loads more weight- I'd at least like to see a change in terms of strength, physique and…

Help with Self Esteem!
Hey Guys! I've recently posted about changing my goal weight to something lower and starting to work out more to try and change the way my body looks but I'm starting to realise the core of my problems. My self-esteem. I'm beginning to think that no matter how much weight I lose, or what I do, I won't be happy with myself…

Jogging for beginners...
Hey Guys! I've recently started jogging (or attempting to). I am building up how long I can go without stopping but my walk stops are quite frequent and it is angering me. Today every time I tried to push through again I'd go for a little while (literally a few mins) before stopping again. Do you have any tips to get…

Lower arm fat- how do I get rid of it!?
Hey guys, I've been adding strength training to my routine for a little while now, and whilst I'm still very much a beginner I can see the difference in my arms, especially my forearms and my bicep area... but I still have unwanted arm fat on the bottom! I'm aware spot training for weight loss isn't really a thing... but…

Gluten free meal plans? Gluten Intolerance?
Hey there... for as long as I can remember I've always been exhausted, struggled with depression and with stomach problems. Having been on and off antidepressants, anxiety medication and being tested for anemia and diabetes I still get a whole host of health issues. For a long time I blamed my depression, then my bad…

Snacks that aren't nuts! Help?!
I have been looking at trying to avoid snacks (I'm a huge chocolate fan!) and everything seems to include something I am allergic to. I am allergic to all nuts except hazelnuts, peanuts and coconut. I really wanted to be able to buy Graze boxes but they can't cater for people with nut allergies. Help?

What keeps you motivated?
I'm starting to up my calories to creep them up to TDEE -20/25%, whilst this means I'm eating more- which is good, it means my weight loss has slowed down. Whilst deep down I know this is sensible it is hard to keep with it when really I just want this fat gone! When you feel like things aren't going your way how do you…

I want to lift.... help!?
Hey, I really want to start adding weight training to my exercise but I'm not really sure what is best to do. I can't really afford a gym membership (I'm a student) so I'm trying to do as much as possible at home. Other than the tiny bit of strength training I've done in 30DS I have absolutely no experience. I'm aware I…

1200 or TDEE? What should I be eating?/ Help me understand?
I have been eating roughly 1200 calories a day, sometimes more depending on if I eat back exercise calories or not. I have a varied exercise level, but am 11 days into the 30 day shred and am trying to take regular walks specifically for exercise and have just signed up to do my first 5k (amateur charity event so won't be…

Cutting out alcohol
I've noticed recently that I have been doing well in the week and then ruining it all by going out on the weekends and just completely not thinking. I'm a student in London so drinking is a pretty regular thing but I think it is hindering my results so I'm considering going teetotal. I was just wondering if anyone else has…

Weak & Tired- Help please!
I have lost 20lb so far on 1200 calories and everything hasn't been too bad. But just recently I've found myself feeling weak and tired and I can't seem to make myself feel better. I've lowered my weight loss goal to 1lb a week to put my calories up to 1390, but that has made me feel sick and get a stomach ache (as if I've…

Fruit causing high sugar levels....
Hey everyone, I'm a newbie to this so go easy with me!! I have been ok this week (one slip up night out with friends and a few chocolate bars!) but I think I've done ok. One thing I've noticed though is that my sugar levels hike up with any fruit that I have. Next week I'm going to try to be even better, but I'm concerned…
