I'm looking for some motivation. I would like to hear from women around my age who have successfully gotten in better shape. I have lost 9 pounds since I started 2 months ago. I would like to lose 70 pounds or more in the next year and a half.

Did anyone else measure their inches when they started?
I took a tape measure and measured pretty much everything when I started and recorded it. I also took a before picture of myself. I measured my thighs, waist, hips, chest, etc. I'm just wondering if anyone measured how many inches they lost.

My goal is to lose 30 pounds by new years eve.
I have a lot of weight to lose. I decided to break it down into smaller goals. If I lose more weight, that is great but I think 30 pounds in 7 months is doable.

Did you take a before photo?
The day that I decided that enough was enough and I was going to finally work on becoming healthier, I had a friend take a picture of myself. I hope to be able to put it up here next year with a new photo of myself. I also made notes of all of my measurements.

What do you track in your food diary?
I currently track my calories, fat, sodium, sugar, fiber and potassium. It is amazing how much sodium and sugar I was eating.

How much weight are you trying to lose each week?
There is the option of .5, 1, 1.5 or 2 pounds of weight loss a week. I'm starting with the 1 pound a week amount of calories while I get used to eating healthy. I may change it to 1.5 or 2 pounds later.

Things I won't miss
Things I won't miss now that I have lost 32 pounds. 1. Shopping at plus size stores. 2. Control top pantyhose. 3. Shapewear. 4. Unsolicited weight loss advice. Especially from random strangers. I'm sure that there are more things. I still have thirty more pounds to lose to get to my ideal weight.

I'm five pounds away from being overweight

I'm going to try again
I did this awhile ago. I did pretty well but then life got crazy and I stopped. I want to lose 30 pounds. Hopefully by January or February. This is weird
I did my hour of dance central 2 video game today. Instead of feeling tired and hating exercise like usual, I really have to urge to dance more. I'm going to go do another hour. I don't know if this counts as a success but it feels good.

I was keeping tract of my calories on here, eating healthy and exercising every day. I was doing really well. I lost a little bit of weight. A few months ago, I stopped and fell into my old habits. I ran for 30 minutes without stopping. The first time I tried to run 30 minutes, I had to stop a few times. I also lost an inch and a half from my waist.
