I'm sure I'm not the only person who tries to bring a little whimsy to the gym (gotta brighten up the place, what with all the people silently judging each other) via their socks. I've got a decent little collection and I'm curious to see what others have to offer.

    These count for at least 4 times the value of the usual deadlift socks, as determined by me just now in thus thread.

    Please explain to a non-lifter why deadlift socks are a thing? Is it because of the compression? Everyone's socks are lovely I just want to know why.

    It's easy to scrape and bruise your legs with the bar because you have to pull it against yourself as it comes up. The socks help protect your shins, and also look cool.

    Personally I like wearing them when I walk, run, or lift... They are fun.

    They protect your shins a bit from the bar which can give you a nasty scrape. That's the only benefit I can think of.
