Hi Everyone!
You may already know that sitting too much ("sitting disease") has terrible impacts on our health. But did you know that sitting a lot may also be hurting your weight loss? We don't burn many calories sitting in a chair, making it harder to reach our weight loss goals.
Want to ditch the chair a bit and learn ways to sit less and move more? Even if you have an office job? Then join us for an exciting and challenging month in October as we will be standing up against sitting disease! Let's all get a move on in October and find ways to be more active. It's a Sit Less Boot Camp! hosted by MFP's Challenge-A-Day group.
To participate, you will first need to join the MFP Challenge-A-Day Group.To do that, go to this link: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/52-a-challenge-a-day and click the green "Join this Group" button towards the top of the page. After you have joined the Challenge-A-Day group, click on the "Sit Less Boot Camp" link in the top right panel of the screen under "Upcoming Events". There, you can read the announcement, learn more about Sit Less Boot Camp, and indicate whether you'll be participating or not.
