been maintaining but not always easy
I lost over 85 lbs from about 190 to 102 to 105, depending on the day. I'm 5'2", so I can't eat much. My maintenance calories according to my goals on this app are 1470. I only count when I have had some difficulties. Usually, I go by what the nutritionist said: to weigh every day to monitor and on a scale of 1-10, never…

5.65 female - maintenance calorie goal?
Hello, I'm 169cm (5.65 ft.inches) and currently weigh 58.3kg (128.5lbs), female, 41 years old. I'm still losing weight though I went into maintenance some 2kg ago. I don't want to lose more weight, but I also don't want to go into useless binging or eating sweets just to fill up with more calories. Upping calories slowly…

Losing while maintaining
Hi, everyone: I'm currently close to my goal of 135 or 26" waist, whichever comes first. (Started at 160, 30" waist). When I reached 138 pounds, I switched to maintenance, which for me is 1600 plus eating back any exercise calories, which I almost always do. However, I'm continuing to lose. I know things will even out, but…

Loose Skin
adopting an active lifestyle helps more than just to maintain weight- it changes our body composition. Lift weights, ramp up your cardio and add in yoga a couple of times a week and then just be patient. After losing 100# in my late 50s, I contented myself that the increased energy and mobility outweighed any sag or…

For oldtimers - an MFP question
Lots of maintainers have been here a long time. Has the site slowed substantially since it was sold to UnderArmour and they did the last update? I feel like it hangs when I want to select a food and takes a long time load with all the animated ads. I've taken to doing all my logging on my phone. Although you can now see…

I just need some advise please. I'm 5ft 7 and weigh 9 stone 2lbs. I've lost about 1/2 stone in the last few months which doesn't seem a lot and I probably didn't need to buy I did it to make myself better as I was dealing with depression. I have it with veggies, mushrooms, fruits, LOTS of fruits...I'm allergic to nuts so unfortunately can't add…

Trying to maintain but questioning current weight
I have been trying to lose weight on and off for what seems like forever. Within the past 2 years or so I have lost 40 lbs. I'm 5'4 and weigh 120. I know I should be happy about the way I look but I still feel like I should be losing more weight. I feel extremely fat and gross all the time. Unfortunately I honestly just…

Not logging...binge eating.
A few years ago, I used MFP to lose about 12 pounds. Since that time, I have lost and gained that 12 pounds over and over. Here is the process...I lost the weight using MFP and successfully maintain as long as I log. After a month or so, I get really, really sick of logging and decide I can maintain without it. Logging…

Calorie Calculator
I am 5'1 and weigh 167. MFP is telling me my net calories is 1280 but when i look it up on other sites its tell me, You need 1,903 Calories/day to maintain your weight. 1,903 You need 1,403 Calories/day to lose 1 lb per week. 1,403 You need 903 Calories/day to lose 2 lb per week. Lose Fat While Maintaining weight?
5 months ago my goal was to gain muscle. I went from 195 to 225lbs. Right now I'm at 13% BF , I would like to bring that number down to 9%. According to the app my daily calories should be at 3200 (if maintaining) 40P/30F/30C (320 grams of protein!!) it was impossible to reach that amount of protein daily without going…

Logging... Music??
I play (classical) piano but I find that silly to log as exercise, even though it's an option on myfitnesspal. Should I log it? It can get pretty intense, as the pieces are not easy by all means, and I sometimes play up to 3 hours in a day. I'm practically laughing at myself but really - should I count it?

Reached my goal -NEED ADVICE!
Hi All, I've reached the goal I set 18 months ago and lost 30lbs. I'm really happy with this weight but want to tone and firm up. Increase muscle mass I suppose. So any advice? Should I keep a deficit in my calories so that I can build muscle weight and still keep the scale weight around the same? Thanks!

Dysmorphia and summer
i am struggling with dysmorphia. I have no idea what I actually look like to other people. I am very close to my goal weight but getting older means things still look looser than I like. How do I best manage feeling like I still look fat at my goal. My BMI Is 20%. What do you do?

How many calories should my daughter take in?
So I want my kids to be healthy and I was just wondering. She is 5'4 and 112 pounds and 12 years of age. She swims (competitively) 4 days a week for an hour and a half. I guess her metabolism is relatively fast. So should she eat more calories on the days she does exercise and less on the days she doesn't? How many?

Consuming more calories because of cycle training
Last week I started my outdoor cycle training which caused a huge increase in my calorie burn and to a slightly lesser extent calorie intake. Coincidentally I started slowly leveling off at my target weight. After one week I've surprisingly gained three pounds, which I suspect is related to the calorie intake increase.…

Hey All You Pregnant Ladies/Post Prego Mommas
I posted this in fitness and exercise but I'll try here too  So. I haven't been on here in forever mostly because I got pregnant. I want to suceed this time!
Hello super maintainers! Apologies for a long post...skip down if too much. In 2013 I lost 39lb going from a BMI of 26.5 to 20. I was so pleased that I'd surpassed the BMI of 23 (where I normally was before pregnancy and post baby binging) that I thought was my limit. It was easy to get there and I did it slowly over about…
