1200 Help I can't hit my targets!

Hi all, I'm on a strict 1200 calorie diet and I'm aiming to do between 500 and 1000 calories on my cross trainer/exercise bike.

My problem is I just cannot seem to eat all my calories and keep getting a ' you are not eating enough' warning in red, any tips, my diary should be open, if not add me to see it, I really need help, I've lost 1.5stone in 14 days so something is going right, but it's saying I might be in starvation mode.. eek, help help help

Well you won't really go on starvation mode.. but eating less than 1200 calories while trying to burn a ton of calories will not allow your body to get all the nutrients you need and will probably lose muscle. Now, if you just started, a lot of that weight up front will be water weight and will not continue for the remainder of your loss. A person with 40 lbs to go, should be aiming for 1 to 1.5 lbs per week.

Now the idea of MFP is that you eat back some exercise calories as the deficit is already built in. Now to get those extra calories, you just need to eat more calorie dense foods such as: nuts, adding cheese to things, adding olive oil on foods, high calorie protein bars or drinks or even eating peanut butter.

I've got 6 stone to lose in total or 84lb, so far I've lost 1.5 stone.. do you think I should be eating more and not try to stick to 1200? The weight is falling off and I'm just not hungry at all.. I'll try adding peanut butter, I love it!
