Not losing. Any ideas?

Hey everyone! My scale seems stuck on this number and has been for a while. I eat within my calories (and good meals, not crap) and I'm starting to run (doing the Couch to 5k app). I also use my kettle bell and resistance bands for arms. I am losing inches but not a single lb. Any idea how to kick start the weight loss part of it? Or should I just not worry about that since I'm losing inches? Any idea is helpful. Thanks!

eat more! usually if you are stalled and you exercise alot, your body needs more fuel. up your calories for a week and see what happens.

If you are losing inches what is the problem? Losing inches means you are doing great. Many people lose dress sizes without dropping a single pound. Keep at what you are doing, cause eventually the weight will start dropping even if it takes a long time. As long as your measurements are going down, clothes fit more loose and you pics tell the difference, I wouldn't even get on the scale.

Before anyone says you're gaining muscle, you are NOT gaining muscle if you're eating in a deficit.

Now that that is out of the way: if you aren't losing, you might not truly be eating at a deficit.
-Have you recalculated your calorie needs since losing weight (prior to this stall)?
-Are you weighing and measuring everything? If you aren't, you could be overeating and underlogging.

If you have been weighing/measuring and logging accurately (and know you are eating in a deficit), it could be because you've recently changed your routine (starting C25K). Your body may be retaining some water to help repair your muscles. If this is the case, the water weight will settle out in a week or two.

Sounds like you're not eating in a deficit.

Check your sodium levels. If you are eating too much sodium then you could be retaining water.

There is so much information missing how can I even answer the question. I will start with how long is this stall you have OP?

If you're losing inches, who cares about poundage??? That's probably water retention. WTG on the inches!

Cut out more calories and log religiously and honestly. That ought to do the trick.

I was thinking the same... I'm not an expert (most of us are not), but I know my own experience has been that there are times when I stall for 3-5 weeks and then suddenly lose a lot. The explanation that fits best is that fat cells sometimes drop fat, but take on water and so there is not weight loss until a time when that water gets released... and then there is a huge loss. I'm not sure if inches were affected, as I don't measure inches very often.

+1, who cares what the scale says when you are literally slimming down. The scale is just a number (just like age), it means nothing unless you are feeling and looking healthier.

Would someone lose inches if they were retaining water though?? When I'm bloated or retaining water for one reason or another, I appear bigger.
