Weight loss advise during the school year.

Hey,

University has just started and after two weeks in I'm struggling to find any time to log food and having trouble fitting in workout/healthy eating regimens. I would like some advice on how to be successful during the school year and what has worked for you.

Thank you very much for all your inputs.

it doesnt take more than 5 minutes to log my food for the day, likewise for eating healthy. exercise actually does take time but if you want it bad enough you'll sacrifice a half hour of relaxation to go for a run or lift some weights.

Im currently in college myself. its tough but not impossible, you just need to find out what works for you. and that part is key. we can only tell you how to do so much, putting it into practice and fitting it into your schedule is up to you

You are going to have to find time, pre-planning your day ahead by logging everything you will eat tomorrow the night before and eating exactly that the next day, carrying it around if needs be should help. But surely you have even a minute spare to log what you are eating?

You schedule it into your day just like going to class, doing homework, showering, getting dressed, and eating. If you're not willing to prioritize your exercise and dietary programs and make them a part of your daily routine, the problem is not a lack of time, and it would be worthwhile to re-evaluate your goals.

I work full time and go to college and I log just fine. Even on days I'm swamped. Two seconds to log on my phone or computer.

Is it a priority? If it really is, you'll sacrifice 5 minutes you spend doing something else to log first and then move on. Eventually it's a habit and it's fast and you don't realize you're doing it.

Yes it's hard at first, but if it's worth it to you the payoff is immense.

agreed.. I work full-time and have night class and still manage to log and exercise. If you really want something, you'll do what it takes to get there.
