Where do I start?

I just started back at going to the gym every night/at least 5 nights a week. Does anyone have any tips as to where I should even start? Mind you, I'm a bigger girl that is working on her stamina and strength as to lose weight. If that even makes sense...Please help :disappointed: Private Message/Add me if you'd like!!!

Getting into a good exercise regime is great, but you'll make the most headway with your health and weight by what you eat. Eat a lot of healthy, nutrient-dense, whole foods. Hit appropriate calorie and macro goals. Give this time and consistency. You'll make progress for sure. Also, find a good support group that can help you stay on track, give you advice when needed, and encourage you.
    You've got this!

Good for you! Getting into going to the gym was so hard for me. It can be really hard not to feel intimidated being a bigger girl and feeling like you don't know what you're doing! Don't give up, though! Maybe going with a friend, or hiring a personal trainer to help you learn the ropes will give you an idea of what exercises work for you. Sometimes I get ideas just from watching other people at the gym!
I really group exercise classes like yoga, zumba, kickboxing, etc., because the group atmosphere is motivating, and you don't have to know what you're doing, you'll learn as you go.

When I started back, after not being in a gym in years, I began with the treadmill, recumbent or eliptical, and moved on to each of the Cybex machines that work specific body parts. I started with what I thought was a decent weight for me, and adjusted as necessary.
As I gained strength and stamina, I moved into the free weight area.

    Best,
