Hurt legs, other exercises?

Hi all,

Normally when I begin exercising I normally get demotivated really easily and usually stop after a couple of days. However for once I am finally on it doing some sort of exercise everyday. I have been doing 30 Day Shred but yesterday I went for a run, but I seem to have done something to my legs (the sides at the top of my legs really hurt when I walk/run). I'm guessing it's just my muscles sorting themselves out, but I don't think I'll be able to go for a run later.
Is there any other exercises that people could recommend that may not involve my legs quite so much, or do people think that 30 Day Shred might still be okay?

    Sounds like it could be your IT band flaring up. If it persists, invest in a foam roller (look up techniques online). I had IT band syndrome and foam rolled for a while, and now it barely bothers me.

    Please avoid anything Jillian Michaels related. I think she has caused more injuries than every Crossfit gym in America combined.

    Take a couple days off, and you should be fine.
