Low KJ days

So hey all
I had a look around but I can't seem to find an answer to this question.
Basically some days I dont eat many KJ, not starving my self. Just wondering what, if any, are the downsides or issues with this.
The searches I have done all seem to end up in posts about starvation mode being a myth.
So can anyone give me an idea of what negatives effect i can expect if i have 1 or 2 days around 4k KJ when according to the app I have a limit of 8k.
Or should i just eat a little more.
Thanks

I think it is the average that matters - so if you ate about half your goal one day but this evened out with eating double next day - or more likely, eating, few hundred more over a few days, and the weekly amount was still about right, then it wont matter.
Of course I am not recomending extremes of this - like eating nothing for 2 days then having mega huge binge.0 -
Eating under 1000 calories consistently will not allow your body the proper nutrients it needs, in addition to lowering your metabolism, as your body tries to conserve energy.

On average over the week i eat 6k a day. some days 8k some days 4k and inbetween0

Eating very low calorie days can certainly have a negative impact on your long-term success with weight loss. Over time, your metabolism will get repressed to compensate for the low intake, resulting in a lower maintenance calorie level. This makes it much more difficult to keep the weight off. Check this video out by Dr. Layne Norton. It goes over this really well.

If you can lose weight while eating more food, why wouldn't you? It's more sustainable, will keep your metabolism up (which will make long-term success much more achievable), and will give you more energy for the day.

One or two will have zero impact in your weightloss, may have some effect on engery levels thats about it. It will take weeks and weeks of under eating for something to become noticable. There are plenty of people on this site who count calories by the weekly average, undereating during the week so they can splurge on the weekend. As long as you are in a calorie deficit it doesnt matter.0

yeah thats what i thought. one or two days wouldnt matter too much.
At the moment i seem to average 1-1.3 kg per week weight lose which to my understanding is a fairly healthy amount to lose. so maybe i am eating the right amount of KJ. now to just make them better KJ, less fatty foods :P
