Hello from Des Moines!

I am new to MFP, having been introduced by a friend now in MPLS. We have WW here at work but I apparently am less than inspired as I haven't been attending, nor have I have losing. I've recently ordered a FitBit, which I'm looking forward to syncing up with MFP.

It seems sort of difficult to avoid excess carbs and sugar since sugar is a carb, and most everything with the exception of protein converts to sugar. Any ideas on how to get your allotted protein/carbs without driving up the sugar/carbs?
