Share your traveling tips

So my family is moving to Japan and we are currently visiting my parents house for two weeks, then hotels in Seattle for three days, two full days of airplane travel and layovers and finally more hotels in Japan for likely another 2-3 weeks before I have a house and full kitchen and complete control over my diet again. So please share your traveling tips for me and anyone else out there who struggles with maintaining exercise and diet while on the go. Let me add there are of course my husband, little minions and a giant dog traveling with me. I am just trying to maintain through this move and then get back on track losing after we are settled. I usually gain weight (about 8 lbs) EVERY time we move. Then I spend the next 4 months torturing it off. I always maintain working out through the move- my whole family is very active. I think food and eating out is the problem. Normally we rarely if ever eat out. I usually make everything homemade, very clean diet, no processed food, no fast food. I've already slipped up out with family at a restaurant today and shared a cheesecake. Feel free to verbally slap me.
