Ever Been in a Weight Loss Zone after a stall?

This has happened to me more than once, and I really have no idea why. I will be diligent on my calorie intake, exercise, etc. with very sloooooooooooooow weight loss (or even a stall.) Then, I have two or three days in a row of eating closer to maintenance and I lose a pound a day for like three days. Maybe I am more active on these days than I am accounting for? (running around more, cleaning the house....not like running 5 miles instead of 1.) Has this ever happened to you? I would love to know what I am doing right, so I can just keep doing it. :) My typical weight loss is usually .5 - 1 pound per week at best when I am "good." (I.e. 1,400 calories per day)
