Legitimate weight loss tip that worked for me

I am a firm believer in meat, however, I LOVE the Morningstar Grillers veggie burgers, especially at 130cal per patty, put it on a whole wheat bun and that's lunch. It really helps curb my fast food burger cravings.
I have a vegetarian friend, she is the one who introduced me to the veggie burgers. She is in a constant struggle to control her weight, and she has high cholesterol! Just because she is a vegetarian doesn't mean that she is healthier than I am.
Have you tried their spicy black bean burgers? I am no longer vegetarian but I still eat those because they're so yummy!
Funny you should ask, after this conversation I dropped by the store. I noticed the spicy black bean patties so I also grabbed those also. Talk about delicious!0 -
Awwh I wanted to see the diary..0

I appreciate you sharing what is working for you..and it very well could work for someone else out there. no need for all the attacks. We all find tricks and things that work for us..and so nice we can share here. I've been thinking about trying to eat more vegetarian meals just to amp up my plant based diet.
The bottom line is you're losing weight and eating some really healthy food that is good for you body.

If it works for you, fantastic!
But I doubt you can promise that it'd work for others. Nothing works for everyone across the board except having a calorie deficit and even then...0 -

People should start to say 'I trying to lose fat' rather than saying 'I am trying to lose weight'.
You can lose weight just sweating. You can lose weight by losing lean mass. Hell, I lose a few pounds everytime I use the toilet.0 -

that's just being silly and pedantic - losing weight is a term we all understand, let's not create silly arguments over semantics.

You didn't see the food diary...it was HORRIBLE!!!!! Not healthy at all...lol...
It's kind of ironic that you keep harping on the 'healthiness' of her eating when the whole 'beef' (LOL) with her is that you don't have to eat any certain way (including 'healthy') to lose weight. Which I don't even think was her point to begin with. Who cares if she ate salad and protein powder and beer?

If anyone ate "anything" as a "cheat" meal once a week, but still stayed in deficit, they'd lose weight. Some choose meat, some choose a carb, some choose something with high fat....................it really doesn't matter.
But if it's what you believe works for you, then continue on and thanks for sharing with others.

No.
I've lost four times as much weight as you by not doing what you're doing. Your way does not "work" in the way you are implying it will. Calories in, calories out. Burn more than you consume. Boom.0 -
I am a work week vegetarian!
Hi guys. I struggled to see the lbs come off, even with counting calories until I became a work week vegetarian!
I only eat meat 1 day out of the week. It is normally one day on the weekend and is usually only one meal and on the same day as my "cheat day." I have to say, this along with counting calories with My Fitness Pal has helped me lose 6 lbs so far.
I believe that when you're not eating meat, you make healthier decisions in all aspects of your diet. Maybe it is a psychological thing, but I think it works.
And before you start telling me that I'm now lacking nutrients and protein, I get plenty of protein through supplements, protein powders, protein bars and I get all of my nutrients through various foods and vitamins.
If you are struggling to see lbs come off, I really think you should give this a try. Check through my diary if you'd like to see how I'm doing.
This diet routine along with frequent exercise WILL work for you! I promise.
Vegetarianism is a lifestyle choice, and for many people, they have religious and ethical reason they do not eat meat. Vegetarianism is not some fad you do to lose weight.

First off, beer is awesome.
Second, I'm losing weight just fine eating meat. It's that whole CICO thing some people seem to not like.
Third, the universe is CLEARLY telling me I must make waffles tonight.

Well damn, sign me up to be a vegetarian!!!!!
Well, she did say she ate meat one day a week.
I'm guessing the person who flagged you and me is the person who got a post removed that was an insult aimed at me that you commented about the shelf life.
I'm trying to picture 24 oz. of mimosas. That's like six 4 oz. champagne flutes. Good for her.-1
