Visual Difference but same inches and weight

I did my week comparison and I noticed a big difference visually but my inches and weight are the same. Why is that? I'm not trying to lose weight just trying to tone up.

Sounds like you're toning up. When you lose fat you lose inches but if your muscles are growing then you are increasing in inches which is balancing it out on your measurements. To me numbers on a scale only makes sense when you are cutting and trying to lose weight. If you are trying to tone up and you are seeing results in the mirror don’t pay attention to the rest, focus on that.

You can also distribute weight differently. My husband changes shape all the time without changing weight or inches. It is truly bizarre. Things move from the front to the side and he looks way better.

I've been having that same thing happen. I see changes and feel differences in the way my clothes fit, long before I see a change in the scale or tape measure. I think a lot of it is that I'm losing mass in places that I never bothered measuring...like my upper arms, neck, face, wrists, the upper part of my ribcage, etc. Then after a few months, that's when I see a measurable difference around my actual waist, etc.

But my clothes are absolutely fitting differently. And I look different. I get comments. The comments and clothes tell me a lot more than the scale tells me.

I'm going through the same thing. I can see the difference in the mirror, but weight stays the same. The waist staying the same seems to be a loose skin issue. It is starting to tighten up in other places, but the skin around my waist is taking quite a bit longer. And even though it still measures the same, I have to buckle my belt tighter to keep my pants up.

Since I am seeing loose skin in other places pulling in, I know it'll happen in time once I drop enough body fat. A low carb high fat diet, chicken skin and cartilage (great sources of collagen), lots of water, and lifting weights do seem to be helping me a lot.
