Back to basics

I'm down to my last 10-15 pounds (I hope) that I need to lose. I know those are typically the hardest, but it doesn't help that I'm getting worn out when it comes to my health journey. So I'm hitting the reset button. I'm going to recalculate my TDEE and get back to the gym on a more regular basis. I also could use some reminders. Even if it's stuff I already know, I think I need to hear it "out loud" to get motivated. So, if you were talking to someone just getting started, what would you tell them?

When I'm at my last 10-15 lbs., I plan to go into maintenance for a long, long while with the extra 10-15 still on board. I want to make sure these new behaviors I've learned are well established and that I'm maintaining as I should be. Then I plan to lower my intake just ~250 calories from maintenance and lose the last 10-15 lbs. one half pound a week or so.

Im down to my last 5-7lbs to lose and id say 1) weigh and measure every food and liquid accurately and log accurately 2) sleep well 3) drink plenty of water 4) analyse your goals and set new ones if this helps freshen things up 5) take measurements and 6) continue to be amazing

Use a food scale and make sure that you are using the correct entries when adding items. Even if you scan something the calories and/or macros may be incorrect. Avoid using items labeled "generic" and don't use homemade entries that were made by someone else.

What about meals I don't prepare myself? I've always had a hard time with this one. It doesn't happen often enough that it hurts my progress (at least, I don't think it does--maybe once a week I'll have a meal I don't know how to enter, if that). But I'd like to be stricter about my logging.
