Menopause is no fun...

Hi. I have been on here about a week. I have 5 children ages 9 to 21. I was never very big except when I was pregnant. I usually stayed around 130, but most people would guess my weight much lower. Since the beginnings of menopause have settled in (and thanks to a broken leg over a year ago that had me sitting around for about 6 months) I gained WAY too much. I started on here at about 182. I barely reached that during my pregnancies. My son, first born, is getting married in May and I want to look and feel good for the wedding. So I am giving it all I have. My fiance is also very bad at spoiling me. He made me way too much food when I was stuck in bed with my broken leg. He likes to bring me treats late at night after work etc. I asked him to support me, and try to remind me that maybe I don't WANT to have a klondike bar at midnight. I read some of the stories on here and you all make it sound so easy. I just feel like the weight will never come off again. I used to be able to get my tummy flat in a week if I needed to go somewhere special etc. with no problem. Getting older is no fun lol. I hope I can have success stories like many of you have. I will have to take a before pic I guess, even though I really despise pics of myself right now. Thanks for any encouragement!

Well I must say...not a very welcoming group when I have had 17 views on this post and not a single reply. Thanks for the encouragement. I will stay off the boards.0
