First Week, 3lbs Lost

Ahead of a beach holiday (in 4 weeks time) I'm looking to lose some weight. I've hovered around 10st (I'm 5"6) for a very long time, and I'd really like to get down to 9st7 for the holiday - and stay there!

I've cut down on junk food (cold turkey on the workplace biscuits, post-work chocolate bars, post-gym chocolate bars...), upped protein and reduced carbs. Net calories have averaged 1500/day.

I was amazed to step onto the scales this morning and find I've lost 3lbs in the past week!

I should have measured other things before I started, but to be honest couldn't face it! I had some old measurements stored on the site from April, and am also amazed to have lost half an inch from my thigh, half an inch from my waist and 1.5" from my hips!

Here's to 4 more weeks getting ready for the beach, then keeping the weight off. 9st7 is going to become the new "normal" :smile:

    Be aware your body fluctuates and its normal to lose more at the beginning becayse its normally water weight. As you dont weight that much anyway then you might find it hard to keep up that rate of loss. Good luck though.

    Be patient with your body. Depending on how much you have to lose, the weight loss over the next few weeks will likely slow.
