Can't get the scale to budget!!

Hello - I have been logging for 4 weeks. I was wondering if someone could help me figure out why I can't get the scale to budget. I have not lost in 3 weeks. I have lost inches, my clothes are looser but no pounds and am staying in my IIFYM. I institutionally lost 40 lbs on a pre-packaged program. Came off due to cost and stalling (to few calories for my activity level). Lost 2 lbs doing IIFYM and MFP but now can't get the scale to move at all. I am exercising 4-6 days a week from walking, indoor rock climbing, zumba, pound, barre, yoga and pickleball. I measure my food via scale. I know it is just a number on the scale and I should focus on the measurements but I just can't figure out way the scale won't move down!!

Well, you should start by sending it to some financial planning classes if it can't budget.

    Sorry, couldn't resist!

Anyways, you may be eating more than you're burning. It's good that you're weighing the food you're eating. How are you logging your calories? And, are you eating back your exercise cals from exercise? It'll be helpful to have that info too!
  • Thanks Missiontofitness- silly typo!! :) I figured my IIFYM and then plugged those numbers in MFP so that I don't have MFP calculate my exercise back onto the 1200 calories. My IIFYM is 1598 daily. I don't eat over that, I log my calories into my MFP dairy. Trying very hard to stay within proteins, carbs, fat.

All of that. Plus your ticker says you have 11 pounds to lose. If that's your final goal, it can take a good long time to lose the weight.

What she was asking was how do you determine your calories? Food scale/measuring cups/eyeballing portions?

If you want to lose weight, you'll need to either eat less than you do now, exercise more or both.

Sounds like you've improved your body, though, so congrats on that!!

Okie dokie! So your IIFYM sounds like it could be like TDEE...I don't have much information about either one (I just log my food/exercise separately and eat more on days I exercise), so hopefully someone can come in who has more information on this!

One thing I would think is it may be time to re-evaluate your goals? A previous posted said you have around 11lbs left, so your calorie needs may be below that number if you haven't re-evaluated in a while.
