Kai Greene

Is anyone inspired by him? I wasnt sure which message board to post in, but I felt this was the best, I have studied his videos on youtube of all his training and basically seeing some differences, My aim is not to get big, although, when I do slim down, I will maybe want to gain size, his videos are so thorough and he explains the movements frame by frame, I think anyone wanting to learn about muscle movements should watch him and listen to his philosophies because the man who should be Mr Olympia is so intact with his body and wise about the human body.

Nope. I don't follow any of the big time bodybuilders. It's tough to take advice from them about training and periodization because they recover different since they use steroids and most of us don't. Kai does a fairly good job of explaining some of the exercises, but the videos on bodybuilding.com are just as good (and easier to search).

Instead of following the athletes I follow the trainers because they do have clients that are natural. Even then there is still tons of BS information out there from trainers and bodybuilders/powerlifters/etc.

thats fair enough pal, I do follow a fair few trainers, I really like Elliott Hulse, I dont really watch many other pro bodybuilders, I just like how he explains things, I take it on board, maybe its just me haha,

I do prefer to follow natural trainers, Lee Hayward is another guy I like. I like to experiement with different techniques, there is some trainers/body builders that just speak drivel, usually the chaps that use enhancements.

I've done pretty well just looking at the science and tracking what works for my body. As a female I've managed to gain a bit more lean mass over the last year than they say women can gain (despite a 4 month period where I changed programs and made almost no progress). It really comes down to grind hard and focus on recovery.

    Not particularly.

Guy looks amazing, but I don't think I'd be inspired by someone who is on that much injectables when thinking of a role model. As I'm not really interested in going the needle route.

Guy has amazing body control though, saw one of his pose routines. You can tell that he takes his art extremely seriously.
