Are Hiit workouts better than the normal hr long sessions on the elliptical? I actually feel much energized and accomplished after a 20-30 minute Hiit workout...I sometimes do them twice as well.

Technically yes hiit is better. You'll burn more calories over the course of the day due to excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC).0

I have had actual RESULTS from my HIIT workouts, which never seemed to happen with years and years of plain old cardio. I work up a serious sweat, I'm getting stronger, and I can see actual changes in my body -- muscles and less visible cellulite! I'll never go back to plain old cardio.
