You may have a point, and I may be giving too much benefit of the doubt to the paid professional contractor the OP has hired. However, my position was more along the lines of... "Really, you've been with a trainer for how many months, and you're just now deciding to go to the gym, and enterting a whole new field." I figured it was just another lazy customer that couldn't be bugged to learn their programming, the approach, and then use that on their own time in the gym.

I would assume that the fault is with the customer before the service provider in this case.

Additionally, I'll stick with my approach to life. I've entertained 65 million people over the last 4 years, I make good money, and I'm doing well in the gym. Obviously, I'm doing it right. ;)

Well this thread certainly took some twists and turns.

To answer some of the questions above, I believe he has the NASM certification. He has taught me a lot about form and has taken it slow, working on stability and form. He's a great trainer.

For the above quote, I'm not sure if that is supposed to be directed to me? I'm just another lazy customer who couldn't be bugged to learn? How did you assume that from my original post? Because the entire reason I posted is to ask experienced people to give me recommendations where I can learn more, increase my knowledge, and continue working hard at the gym. I wasn't complaining about my trainer or whining about working hard or anything, so I'm also not sure how "fault" fits into anything. Maybe I am totally misunderstanding.

In any case, I do appreciate those who answered my question!! Can't wait to check out those resources.

In that case ,you should be well prepared for a SL program or whatever else you find suitable toward your goals. Best of luck.
