Is there anyone who has completed the workout program Insanity?

Hi, my name is Lindsey. I am 21 years old, 5 ft 5 in tall, and I weigh 200 lbs. I have 3 kids. Twin boys just turned 2 and my youngest son just turn 1. I was wondering if there is anyone who is my height and weight that has done and completed the Insanity program. What was the results you got? Pictures would be great. I don't have any money to buy shakeology and a friend gave me the workout. Also, if there is anyone that is about to start the Insanity and is truly wanting to commit to it, I would love it if you friend me so we can support each other. Thank you!!!

I have completed insanity once through and I'm trying to get my head around doing it again. I had good results with insanity. I went from low energy to lots of energy. FYI I had better results when I did Hip Hop Abs. Good luck if you decide to do insanity and don't give up even if your tired to begin with!

I almost broke my ankle doing Insanity
  • I am a 36 year old female and I have completed insanity. It is extremely challenging. The warmup even feels like a workout. With that being said, it definitely works. I wasn't even eating healthy and still lost ten pounds. Started out at 170 and dropped to 160. Plan on going through it again and actually eating right this time. Be prepared to be sore as heck, and please be careful. I sprained my ankle doing the squat jacks.

I have never done insanity (it's too expensive). I just do free workout videos on YouTube. there are a lot of Jillian Michaels workouts.. my favorite of hers in No More Trouble Zones with 5 or 10 pound dumbells. Also fitnessblender is a lifesaver, I do a few videos a week. Insanity is overrated and too much of a commitment. :)
(I am 22 and have a 18 month old daughter and have lost all 55 of the pounds I gained during pregnancy plus another 10 pounds off of that)

I did Insanity and loved it. Just do your best and you'll do fine. Pay attention to your landings, because there is jumping involved, but you can modify to take jumps out. There is absolutely no need to buy Shakeology, eat real food, and if you aren't meeting your protein macros, get a protein powder, shake, or eat a protein bar. Check out the Groups on here, I know that there is an Insanity group on MFP. Good luck OP!

@katya_be I'm curious on why you feel Insanity is overrated? I agree that it's expensive, but it really is a great cardio program. Personally, I would rather workout with Shaun T than Jillian Michaels (but that's just me). Also, 60 days is not a big commitment. 60 days isn't even a quarter of the year. The goal is to make exercise a part of your everyday life.

I finished Insanity last year and had results that I was satisfied with. I lost inches everywhere (though I lost very few pounds, which was fine by me) and improved my cardio endurance. I ran a personal best on a 10k while hungover just after completing the program, so it definitely worked for me. Don’t waste money on Shakeology. Eat right, maintain proper form during workouts, and you’ll be fine. I still do the workouts from time to time, as it’s still a good workout. I would consider doing another round of the program in the near future (work is murdering me right now with a lot of mandatory overtime, so I don’t have daily time to commit). I think I still have the progress pictures on my profile page if you want to look.

I completed one round of Insanity and loved it, but to be honest, my weight dropped when I attempted it again together with P90X as a hybrid. It also made me RAVENOUS. I was eating up to 1,800 cals a day on the hybrid workout but still lost over 20lbs!
