Is this enough to make a difference?

Hi,
I've just signed up to my company's gym and do 20 mins of running (8kmph) everyday from Monday to Friday. Is this enough to see some weight loss (along with controlled eating..aiming for 1200calories a day)?
I really don't have any other spare time to go to the gym unfortunately.
thanks in advance

If the 20 minutes includes getting there, getting changed, exercising, showering, getting dressed again and returning to work, NO. If it's a full-on, hard 20 minutes, Sure.

If you're eating within a calorie deficit you will lose weight no matter what exercise you are doing.

    "enough" is arbitrary.

Is it more than you were doing before? Then yes, you'll see changes.
Weight loss comes from the diet more than anything. Eat at a deficit, lose weight.

Running for 20 minutes is great for your heart health among other things, and you should absolutely do it for those reasons if nothing else. Especially since it's all you can do right now.

This.. If you are eating at a deficit with no exercise you will lose weight but if you eat at a deficit and work out you get to eat more  Or, if you choose, you will just be at a bigger deficit, I personally choose MORE FOOD

Exercise has bumped me out of a plateau a couple times. A 1200 calorie a day diet will lose you weight for sure.

Agreed. At 1200 cals, you should see weight loss regardless of exercise.
