Amitriptyline and Weight

I have been taking 20 mg of Amitriptyline for about 3 weeks for nerve pain. Anytime I do research on this med I find post after post about weight gain associated with this med. Has anyone been able to take this med and not gain weight? All of these posts are making me a bit nervous. Thanks.

I didn't really notice a weight gain on it...but I think it depends on the person. I mean for me, I guess I was lucky because it was really helping my mood-which made me more active which could be why I didn't gain weight0

I never heard anyone complain of weight gain with it. That doesn't mean it can't happen, but it can't happen to everyone. A relative of mine took it and didn't gain, if that's any encouragement.
I'm sorry you have nerve problems. They're so horrid.0
