Saint John, NB - please feel free to add me. Agree about the differences in U.S. and Canadian food packaging/options.
BTW, we bought a fantastic scale online from Costco. It is a scale and body fat monitor. (Although some days I could cheerfully sling it out the window in front of a passing truck!)0 -
Ontario here with an open diary. Feel free to add me. I should warn that I do sometimes go down to the to do some grocery shopping (some things I just can't find here and some things are just way cheaper there)0

If you manage to find out how many calories are in a good poutine, you won't want to see any more "Canadian" food again. It's the thing I miss most about living in Ontario....0 -
Victoria BC here. Feel free to add me. I'm not super active though at times but I'm usually supportive and would be glad to lend a hand if asked.0

As a Quebecer who lives within breathing distance of La Banquise, I only have two things to say to this:
1. Poutine is Quebecois food, not Canadian food. Poutines in other parts of Canada are definitely sub-par. (And no, this isn't a political statement. I'm a federalist. But if you're gonna indulge with the zillion calories it involves, you might as well be eating the best.)
2. A single poutine would probably put me over my calorie goal for the entire *week*.0 -
BC here, would love to have some Canuck friends0
