Celery

What the *#&@? Celery used to be one of those cheap veggies and I have gotten into the habit of having the treat of a couple (4) stalks cut into sticks almost every night with an ounce of wonderful blue cheese dressing. I picked some up at the market yesterday and when I got to the register it was almost $7!!!!
EEK! Just last week it was $1.49 for the package. I've also paid $0.69/pound, but now it's $1.89/pound. Celery...for goodness sake, what's up with that?!?!?!?

Did you grab some from the "organic" section instead of the regular stuff?

Nope...Just plain old celery. Sucks, too, because it's not something you can buy on sale and freeze. I'll just be without my evening snack this week, hoping it's cheap again next week. I actually made the produce guy go check that it wasn't mismarked because I have NEVER paid that much for celery.
I'm headed into Walmart for some stuff tomorrow so I'll get some there, I know it's cheaper...they have the pre-cut stuff for $1.89 per bag, so the au natural stuff should be "normal" priced. :)
