Skipping meals = starvation mode?

Just a question to help with my research:
Due to my job I sometimes skipp breakfast, throughout the rest of the day I try to make the healthiest choices available to me and the skipped breakfast I often replace with a mochaccino to keep me going till lunch. I was just wondering if I keep doing this (which will result in me eating way lower then my recommended calorie intake) if this will contribute to my body getting into starvation mode:?
I have had a long battle with eating disorders in the past and I'm scared of my body going back into starvation mode because it has been doing it before and was hard to get out of it..... Not sure if this relates to my current situation or not...

No. A lot of people do "intermittent fasting". They fast for x hours and eat all their calories in the remaining hours (example: fast 16 hours and eat in 8 hours. Fast 20 hours, eat all your cals in 4 hours).0

constantly undereating is the issue not missing a meal. Eat more later.0

This-I eat two meals a day with no snacking and still eat 1,800+ calories a day.0 -
