some general advice

could someone please look at my diet and give me some general advice? my main concern is that i may not be eating enough to lose weight at a healthy pace. or perhaps there are certain vitamins/nutrients that i should be trying to get more of.
if you do look at my diet, ignore the food records after sunday october 12, as these days were not recorded properly.
my main form of exercise comes in the form of bicycle riding, which is hard to measure because i do a lot of uphill/downhill biking everyday, so i get the feeling the exercise that i have been logging is a little underestimated.
if you cannot see the records of what i have been eating, let me know. i am new to mfp.
thank you

What's you current weight loss pace? pounds per week? From what I can see your diet seems balanced and it appears you are eating back about 1/2 your exercise calories.0

You have things like: gravy 1/4 cup and mashed potatoes 1 cup. Those may be too generic. I make my mashed potatoes differently than you do, so who knows what they calories are. Same with gravy. You also have hummus - commercial. Does your hummus have a barcode on it you can scan? And do you measure it out? Same with peanut butter.
I'm a cyclist and I use RunKeeper to track my rides. It's not totally accurate, but it gives you some idea of your burns. I eat about half of those calories back too, unless I'm still hungry.

i realize that home made food like gravy is hard to track, especially when my roommates cook food and tell me to eat some. i try to not eat a lot of food like that which require non-simple recipes. for example, when i cook food, i dont use any spices, oils or extra ingredients, i just cook the raw food and eat it as it is.
in regards to other ambiguous terms like the ones you pointed out, i do not have any phone aps that can scan bar codes so i usually just search the database manually until i find what im looking for that has the most accurate nutritional information.
thanks for the answer.0 -
Just a quick look and seems you need more protein.0
