Cross fit, running or cardio & core

Hi, I am at my wits end. I am a big eater, and about 1&1/2 stone overweight. I am naturally very muscly and bulk quickly. My legs aRe vile, chunky and thick calves. I really need some advice.
I have good level of fitness, what should I be doing to lose weight but really slim down or just look athletic (I get that I won't ever become small framed)?
I have in the past, concentrated solely on weight loss and run 4/5 per week for 4-6 miles a time, but that's it.
This week, I started doing insanity based training, metafit, weights and core classes. No running.
Will this help or make me even chunkier.?? I did really enjoy it and the boredom of running has got to me.
I also joined slimming world this week. I am just afraid of bulking, although would be happy if I legs toned not just got more chunky. I am happy to train as hard as I need to but just don't get what would be better for my frame.
Please help a desperate lady!!!!

You wont bulk, as you are a female and do not have enough testosterone to do so. But.....if you don't get your diet under control, none of the workouts would be that effective.
Your training sounds good, but you have to change from being "a big eater" to being a sensible eater in order to lose fat.
    Good luck!

She could bulk with excessive calories but it would be challenging to do it naturally without anabolic support.

Okay, so it sounds like your goal is weight loss, however; nowhere in your post do you talk about what you're doing from a nutrition stand-point to achieve your goals. You say you're a big eater, and I'm guessing that's probably the problem. The goal of exercise alone should not be weight-loss. Exercise can help augment weight-loss but exercise in-of-itself will not help you lose weight if your nutrition is poor. One cannot exercise there way out of a bad diet, period.

From an exercise perspective, find something that will keep you active and something you can consistently commit to doing. If you kind of have A.D.D in the sense that you get bored while jogging or running, then you very well could enjoy something like BootCamp or CrossFit. They are both good for general physical conditioning and will keep the ole' training ADD at-bay. If you like to run then have at it, just set some kind goals that progressively get larger so you don't get complacent in your exercise.
