Weight Loss / Eating More

Hello,

Does anyone else find it difficult to get their brain to accept the 'Eat To Lose' mantra as a default setting?

I would consider that I eat healthily but when trying to lose weight I tend to fall into the trap of being restrictive in my diet...I eat significantly less but worry that I'm just wandering about in starvation mode and not really gaining any weight loss momentum.

It took me about 3 months to go from never hungry to yes I do wanna eat. I just tried everyday to eat a little more. About a week ago I finally was starving. After reading a few threads about ladies who lift, & a friends push, I increased my calories. Two days in I finally lost after a dry spell. It is a mind thing, convincing ourselves we must not eat. But dropping 2# gave me a little boost to eat more. There is a calories we need based on age, sex,& hight just to breath. I gave mfp the control to choose my calories for me. So far...so good! Best wishes on your journey!

It is hard to get my mind to it... I am barely trying that this week. I upped my calories to my TDEE -20%, yet I am having a hard time mentally to get there... You're so used to always thinking dieting and eating less to lose weight... so we'll see what progress I see with this. :relaxed:
