I joined this thing about a month and a half ago but I havent really logged on. I just joined a gym on wednesday so I'm motivated to drop a good 30-40 pounds. Most of my fat is around my core area (stomach, chest). Is there any particular excersize that specifically targets these areas? any recomended foods? Thanks

I am the same way. I have chicken legs, no butt, but a spare tire around the middle. As most people here will tell you, you can't really target one part of your body as far as fat loss is concerned. It is a total fat loss over your entire body. However, it certainly doesn't hurt to do ab exercises! If you build muscle around your core it will help to burn the fat there. I am certainly no expert on the matter but I have had success with doing crunches (as much as I hate them!) but you can Google "ab exercises" to find out which one suits you best!
Good luck to you on your journey!!0
