New to Myfitnesspal! On 1200cal diet

Hi guys! I just wanted to introduce myself to myfitnesspal veterans and newbies alike! I am 18, 5ft 7inches, and currently weight 137. My ultimate goal is to get to 115 pounds although, I would be just as happy with 120pounds. I am eating 1200 cals a day and I work out 3 days a week.
Anyone else out there on a similar regimen or with similar stats?
Any advice?

Advice - Eat more calories. You're 5'7 and workout 3 days a week! no 1,200 calorie diets for you. Quickly searching the forums will give you a clear idea why it's not a good idea and won't help you in the long run!
Calculate the correct amount of calories on a calculator outside of MFP, to determine your "TDEE" (total daily energy expenditure) and your BMR (basal metabolic rate, AKA the minimum you should be eating to allow your body to function).
Don't be a cardio bunny! Mix in that strength training and don't worry too much about what's on the scale Jillian Micheals makes some great videos for beginners (and experienced people!) to use.

@Jen800 thanks so much! That is so true about the 1200 cal diet. I noticed I was tired a lot and stressing about making my calories stretch through the day. I will checkout those other resources. I do a lot of cardio haha but I want to mix in some weights for abs, glutes, and thighs
