Anyone ever use this diet?

I found this review of a supposedly fast working diet and was wondering if I should give it a try.

No but $39 to read it? Why not just go to a library and pick up a respected diet book or just count calories or do any of the other respected, free diets out there? It looks like a rip-off.0

It sounds like another fad diet. I wouldn't waste money on it. There is no way you will lose 9lbs every 11 days with minimal effort unless you are starving yourself and your body has started to use muscle mass as fuel.
The way to go for weight loss is good diet an exercise! Just aim to meet your calorie goal set by mfp and try to eat as little processed foods as possible. Exercise at least 3 times a week with a mix of cardio and strength training and the weight will come off.
A quick fix diet is not a sustainable lifestyle and the weight you lost will come back on, unless you keep paying them and diet forever, which is unhealthy and will make you miserable.0 -
eat at a deficit, lose weight = free0

I haven't reviewed it.....but fast working diet....that's a red flag right there.
There is healthy weight loss and then there is fast weight loss. Healthy weight loss helps you lose mostly fat. Fast weight loss may be too low in calories to support existing lean muscle mass. If you want to reduce your body fat percentage pick a reasonable weekly goal not a fast one. A reasonable goal is based upon your current size.
"Diets" ......are temporary changes you make to lose weight. That's fine, but you want a game plan to switch over to some kind or permanent solution. What I mean is, how are you going to keep the weight (you lost) from creeping back up. That requires some kind of permanent change.
That's what makes MFP great. You log "regular" food in and learn portion control. You can see the nutrient and caloric values of regular food.....and then judge (for yourself) if that food is worth it. Your foods and "my" foods can be different.....that's ok. As long as you are getting lots of protein.0 -
Diets are a con. They are aimed at vulnerable people who believe that in order to lose weight, you need to do something 'radical' while charging you for the privilege of something which is unsustainable
I will give you a free diet.... It's called the 'Eat Less Than Normal' diet. It does exactly what it says on the tin, and you can eat whatever you want... just stay under your calorie allowance.0 -
Thanks for the input guys.0

Well, they got the "for idiots" part of their diet plan right at least.0

Fast working diets usually are not the best solution unless you are very obese and under the care of a physician. Losing too quickly can cause a host of medical problems and should be used only in extreme circumstances.
Slow and steady may not seem as rewarding as seeing those inches fade quickly, but it's still usually the best way.0 -
Fat loss meal plan you have to pay for (unless you have allergies or other medical issues) = fat loss plan for idiots. At least they're honest.0
